Bingo Travis....

Wrong... Vokoun wanted to be a starter... Which he found in Washington... Now... A trade for Nabby and or signing Conks is prob the direction of Holland...
-
And they wouldn't take Hudler?
-
Looks like Boston isn't getting Stamkos LOL
-
I am going to be laughing hard if he is healthy and has a stellar season. Folks have short term memory issues as Osgood came off the bench in 2008 and well, there was a parade with that big shiny metal thing.
-
"Miss Red Wing" offered to take Commie to Cheli's Chili it looks like http://twitter.com/#!/MissRedWing
-
Bet some LGW folks were threatening to call INS if he didn't land a big name FA this summer, therefore he was forced into becoming a citizen.
-
Would be content with Ozzie (if healthy), Nabby, and or Conklin.
-
Might as well take a gamble on Samsonov if they want to go ways of Semin

Holland wants to talk to Chris Osgood http://www.freep.com/article/20110712/SPORTS05/107120385/1053/sports05

Other goalies have rebounded from groin hip/groin injuries, most recently Tim Thomas or even in 2008 Dom Hasek. Osgood may have a year or so left in him if healthy.
-
That was disappointing. I was hoping to sure pictures

"No Love" for Hudler I think you are responding to the wrong folks Eva, you need to contact Holland, Babcock, and the rest of the DRW Organization as I said before.... "Wings would not be shopping Hudler if he was what they expecting" Hope they get him out of here, get someone in here who can put up goals/assists, and want to be here.... At the same time, wherever Jiri lands, he will want to be there and help that team accordingly.
-
Icing on the cake would be Huds telling the media Babs is being scratched and Holland is up for trade.
-
Let me add, if the Wings think Hudler was so great and he was so effective, they would not be trying to move him...
-
I am a Wings fan and a Hockey fan, but I am also realistic.... Bringing up Pavel in a Hudler thread is like comparing apples and oranges, yes they are both fruit (Big Fat Greek Wedding line), but that is about it... Pavel is very effective defensively/offensively, and has been consistent... Hudler, well.... We will not go there as what needed to be said has been written already. We need 2 way players who want to be here and play hockey, plain n simple... Guys who will give their all every night... Ones who can play defense, not be knocked off the puck, can take face-offs, work the boards, not turn over the puck a lot, and set up goals accordingly. Hudler is not the worst guy out there, but there are better for the money who will be more productive in certain situations. Usually when a player puts forth effort, there is production... His production only increased when it seemed he was putting forth more effort... For some reason I think BabCOCK is the type of coach who values effort... As long as he thinks you are conditioning/trying your hardest, he will give you a chance even if you struggle putting up points. Hence why he is one of the best coaches (ie - see the history of Commie and Babs)
-
Ahhhh, did we all forget SARCASM Umm... Pavel is a ghost in the 2009 playoffs? Defensively? Offensively? Had a lot of turnovers?
-
Other teams push him off the puck and Babcock sat Jiri a few times for his lack of effort if I remember correctly. Dan Cleary works hard for his size, as did Draper and neither are as much as a "pushover" as your boy Hudler.

I might need to talk you off your soapbox a little considering I haven't been around much over 7+ weeks and not up to date on the hockey world. I am catching up this weekend and just posted in what I see... And yes, I realize you are just frustrated with everyone saying "blah blah blah" and that is the time you finally decided to respond to such, but pick a more well deserving candidate next time; aka a broken record. I am not going to get into a pissing match over FA's, gaps in the roster, and woulda-coulda-shoulda thoughts nor am I going to derail a thread. If ya want to share more, feel free to PM me and I may get around to reading, checking, and responding. / clean up as I have to read up on hockey transactions + sweep up all the dried powdered soap from the broken soap box. Good for the Leafs, I hope this trade really helps them this season and as for the Preds, they are a hardworking team... Fun to watch, but do not enjoy playing against them. May the Lebda transaction help Detroit during games and in the standings in a positive manner.

Detroit is right next to Canada, easy to smuggle, I mean cross if he wants send/receive gifts.
-
Hard to be patient when the team is missing: 1 goalie 1-2 forwards 1 Defense (maybe if one is traded and another higher end is somehow acquired) 2 coaches 1 partridge in a pear tree
-
I am thinking the reason we are unable to unload him is that he is knocked off the puck WAY to easy... The guy is little and is VERY easy to move... Give me a hard working Canadian boy any day over his lazy butt...
