Lids will retire a Wing and I can see him behind the bench as a Defensive Coach and or in upper management with Stevie. Z will get the C, but at the same time the Wings will acquire another strong #1 to replace Lids the best they can.

I want to see Flip play a full season healthy and see what he can do; but yes, you are correct, he has been playing very well this year. No guessing ya know?
-
Anyone notice that when Bert dekes a player, he does it with 1 hand on the stick? The new line is really starting to come together.
-
He currently has 34 points and there are 9 games left in the season. Next year should be the break out season for him.

Ex Red Wing Mike Knuble with the winning shoot out goal...

Good to see him back...

I am pretty solid with the 11th against Hockey and Beer - congrats on the house - if it is the one I am thinking of, the damn dumpster is still in the driveway...

Patrick Eaves still out for Red Wings; Dan Cleary remains questionable
Rivalred replied to Zeta Power 40's topic in General
It seems every time Eaves is just starting to come around, out with an injury. What happened to Stuart for him needing an MRI? -
I honestly do not think I really ever moaned about Crosby like other members here have, I would of made that call on any player. Please feel free to search through my posts and correct me if I am wrong. Tired of the no calls being made, one example when Vancouver player had his arm wrapped around Z (1st 4 seconds of the clip)...
-
If the league is looking to correct any inconsistencies with calls, then yes, they do.
-
Should of been assessed 2 minutes for crosschecking and 2 minutes roughing.

Not going to happen, who knows where the final standings will be in a few more weeks. San Jose right now has 1 game in hand, 1 win and they are back in 2nd. Some of these teams are going to flip flop positions until the dust settles. At this point , 7th is obtainable if the Wings continue to play like they have; I was hoping for 5th, but just do not see that happening the way Nashville is playing...

This is what gets me: 20:00 PIT Sidney Crosby : Roughing - 2 min 20:00 DET Jimmy Howard : Roughing - 2 min 20:00 DET Henrik Zetterberg : Roughing - 2 min Looks like Crosby's crosscheck to Z went unnoticed...

Seems Filppula had a decent game tonight.

Wings Transactions You Loved Which Unfortunately Failed
Rivalred replied to GMRwings1983's topic in General
Shanny and Cujo were never lets downs/failures. Lang and or Luc, they struggled, but still put up points, not a fail. The Krupp/Hatcher scenarios, oh yeah, no doubt. Recently in the last 2 years? The whole Fabian Brunstrom in/out and Ville Leino "I am going back to Europe" if I do not get to play in the NHL and gets his way and "s***s the bed." Ericsson if he does not turn his play around... So much damn potential in that one, but.... -
Little motivational speech for the Wings On a site note, Wings playing a double header? (see last line of text in 1st post

Wings Transactions You Loved Which Unfortunately Failed

How do you even know if the Wings could of picked Green? -
No suspension for Cooke or Gonchar.... Interesting... NHL is too inconsistent...
-
Here are a few posts from the other thread... As it seems, both players have positives.

Another thing I will add is that with the current play of some of the Wings, not shooting when having the puck when their back is to the goal or going to the back hand as much when they can. I discussed this with another member a few times. That was ONE positive on Hudler Video of Hudler in the 08 SCF against the Pens. The end result may of been different if Hudler adjusted his position and faced the goalie. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfHeKwMR9EY
