With Zett back in the lineup I wonder whom will Babcock bench. Hopefully not Flipper or Huds, Sammy would become a hot candidate for me.
-
I'd let Scheider walk and bring in someone solid for less money. He's not worth of 3M a year.
-
IMO, the hatred againts Boyd was generelly overblown on this forum. By that I do not want to say he was valuable for us. Letting him go was a step in the right direction. No wondering - didn't both Dats and Boyd play on the same line?
-
Fleischmann is a player that would never make the lineup at Detroit. No loss sending him to Washington for Lang.
-
Any speculations about the sense of Forsberg's trade are meaningless until the playoffs are over.
-
Thanks god that Holland has not gone senile to land the alcoholic in Hockeytown ..

I wonder that many people do not like Hudler on this site, although his production has been solid this year taking into consideration his ice time and playing on 4th line with guys like Langfeld. On the other hand, some poeple have in dvnce reserved a place on the 1st line for Grigorenko, a guy who plays worse than before his car crash and plays nothing special in the Russian league, although his solid though.

Slitting the best line in the NHL today by Calder would be a joke.

Far from a clean hit.

The remark regarding LaPointe does not deserve any comments.

he has also great ratio performance vs. salary more music for less money

Trade for second-tier players are Wings' only option

I agree, the shakeup of the 2nd line should be our goal. We need a player that would compensate Lang's lazy ass on this line - quicker, grittier ad tougher. Must not be a big name like Guerin. -
Our jerseys are cool, no change is needed. I still do not understand why NHL insists on wearing dark jerseys home and white jersey away. I liked more white jersey home overall.
-
Not intested in aging and slower players. I do not believe he would have any positive impact on the team. 2nd line Lang-Williams-Robert --- lol
-
Too expensive. I would pay him $2-2.5M/year max.
-
I agree with the tread above. I would add that we lack players that would carry the team through the playoffs and overtake the responsibility. I'm not sure if Dats or Zett are capable to do it despite playing well lately and I don't expect anything big from our 2nd line.
-
Get real, we have nothing to offer in return for big names like Bertuzzi or Guerin what the opposite trading team would want to receive. Holland will not let go Filpulla or Hudler and nobody is interested in crappy players like Williams or Lilja.
-
Blake - NO He's not what we need.
-
Samuelsson - Filpulla - Hudler would word IMO as 2nd line However, it won't happen. Lang makes too much money to be put on 3rd or 4th line or benched.
-
After this, Hudler and Filpulla will likely play more that 8-10 shifts a game. I regret the player that will have to play with Lang and Williams on 2nd line.
-
I believe that Lang would play better if Samuelsson was present on his line.

Canucks management worries more about the increased cash on sold jerseys than if it is nicer than the previous version. They expect that fans will buy the new ones now. If I was a Canuck fan, I would be quite upset with buying a new jersey every fifth year. Red Wings fans may have the same jersey for couple of decades. As for the jerseys, they look cool IMO.
-
Jokinen in, Lang out would sound great for me.
-
The fact is that Holland has obviously nothing to offer in any trade except draft picks. He doesn't want to offer prospects Filpulla, Hudler or Kopecky. Other teams wouldn't be interested in washed up players like Williams or Lilja. On the other hand, loosing draft picks for a player like Tkachuck isn't too good because of a lack of talented and skilled young players that we have now.

Move Hudler on 2nd line and bench Williams regardless Ellis, Langfeld, Bootland or whoever else.
