Wait I figured it out too many men on the Ice could be considered an Automatic penalty so they decided to just overturn it and not call it.

I'm blaming the refs we had pitts on the ropes I think that powerplay could of been a knockout punch but, even if not they had about half an hour to make the call. It's not like it was a bang too many men on ice briefly. Eaither way Wings are in good shape and Zettas looks like he's on his game tonight.

In all seriousness I don't think the refs are going to be making many cheap calls. Unless the one or both of the teams play really stupid I think this game will have very few penalties and alot of 5 on 5

The true question of the day is if you were Babcock and had Datsyuk hurt this whole time and he was coming back would you tell the Media? I would tell them hell no he's not playing then insert him into the lineup to screw with Pittsburghs game plan. I know Datsyuk isn't going to play tonight but, it would be a great move when/if he comes back this series.

Play the games at Comerica during the cold months and move over to Ford Field for the rest of the season Problem solved. Ok I'm kidding about that but, the way the city is moving on passing the Cobo expansion I just don't see them willing the spend the money on the Wings getting a new arena. I'm not sure Illitch will be willing to pony up that much money without some incentive. Plus in his Cobo contract I believe he gets alot of city expenses paid for such as cops at the game. I hold out hope for a new arena but, it just seemed to hit at a bad time for his contract to be up. 5 years ago I would of said no doubt he would be getting help from the city and be building a new arena. The only way I see it happening is if they move their asses on the cobo expansion and decide they need to take over the Joe then I believe the city would end up funding an arena.

Yeah Hossa could of stayed and lost to Detroit or even if they beat Detroit got to hear how Malakin and Crosby the NHL's rising stars carried the team while getting no mention. Atleast when he wins in Detroit people will mention how he left the Penguins and came to Detroit and helped lead them to a cup. With the ego and marketing behind Crosby no one would of even realized Hossa existed. This is mainly the NHL's fault for being so in love with Crosby. There are tons of other players I would market the game with over Crosby

Nah if Downy had a freaking hat trick and we were up or down 5 goals they would still suspend him for going after someone. The league just proves they don't care about the rules. Since the lockout the NHL officials/headquarters have been inconsistant at best.
