It's kind of weird how personal some of you guys make it with the players. Whether it's Howard or Franzen or Quincey. When they wear the winged wheel I will always cheer and hope for them to do well. I have a feeling this stupid goalie flame war is going to carry into every GDT all season long. And frankly that's a shame.

Soooo you DON'T have a source or anything for this "Franzen was included in Phaneuf trade" non-sense... If Franzen is healthy he deserves to be on the opening roster. He's been consistent over the years for what his cost is and at most will cost us the risk to waive a Callahan/Ferraro/Andersson. But yes that's a big IF. -

If Cleary is re-signed he will not cost anyone a roster spot. He will be assigned to the minors and collect his promised pay cheque there and be glorified mentor for the young guys. It's really a non-issue since we shouldn't even be that close to the cap. -

So for all you guys who are so concerned for Franzen's health...If doctors declare him healthy enough to return and claim he's at no more risk of serious injury than many players in the league...You'll fully support him as a player? Or are you all just hiding behind a shroud of caring?

Trotz didn't have Forsberg or Ribeiro. Their two leading scorers by far this year. Forsberg was in the system but obviously not the player he is now.
