Nowhere are you being "realistic" frank. You don't like the makeup of the team so you don't want to see them do well to give yourself satisfaction. You genuinely seem sad that the team is doing well. And that's a joke.
-
I suppose it fits nicely in the TANK thread. lol
-
What a horrible attitude to have. lol Can't say I'm surprised...
-
I think that speaks volumes...

"Righdg's Bid Bodied Beauties" would be a more appropriate name for this thread (and every draft thread he starts). It's literally just, for the most part, a listing of the biggest guys. I like Svechnikov, Meier, Boeser and Chabot.

Huh... didn't see that coming -
Do we need a trade to get our offence going ?

“A lot of the teams are finishing up their scouting meetings. I understand that Buffalo has been scouting Grand Rapids, which is Detroit’s American Hockey League team, quite a bit. So who knows what’s going on there. But a few people who have been through and around Grand Rapids have been saying they’ve seen a lot of Buffalo guys there. In the past, the Sabres and Red Wings have kind of been linked on talks, so you never know what that’s about.” -Elliotte Friedman on Calgary’s Sportsnet 960 -
So many things wrong with this... If he still thinks he can play? As if it's his choice if he's healthy? If he's healthy he'll be in the lineup and if not he'll be on LTIR. Pretty simple. Ummm nope they don't. Andersson is not more valuable then Franzen. lol Would never ever happen.
-
Ha LGW knows better. You've had a personal hatred for Franzen for as long as I can remember. And no Holland will not resign and keep Anderson at the expense of Jurco/Pulkkinen
-
Talking of greed... NHL sponsors say they expect the league to use next year's World Cup of Hockey to trial on-uniform advertising.
-
All this O'Reilly for Larkin+ talk is silly anyways. Colorado doesn't need centers. They need a top 2-4 defenceman with comparable value and we don't have that to trade.
-
I like O'Reilly and think he would be a great fit in our system. He's a complete 200-foot player with offensive ability and is young. Having said that, he is a truly a second line player with a first liner's contract. 6.2mil is a lot and he is a UFA after next season. Judging on his past contract negotiating I would put money on the fact he hits the market. It will cost at least 7mil to lock him up and that is too much in my opinion and I have no interest in giving up assets for 1.5 years of service.

To meet his idol Nelson Mandela? -
Yeah it's definitely why I bumped the thread. haha

Sproul and Marchenko wouldn't be battling for the same role anyways. Sproul is a potential offensive defenceman while Marchenko is a defensive defenceman. Regardless, we'll probably end up carrying 8 anyways for injuries and depth.
-
No, the 23 man limit is lifted immediately following the trade deadline. It's the salary cap that ceases to apply in the playoffs.
-
Only if they wear their Olympic outfits...
-
You're right, but I guess that's not likely... Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie · 3h3 hours ago If Richards clears, expectation is he'll be assigned to Manchester (AHL). LA obviously hopes waivers may flush out more trade options.
-
That's irrelevant. If your country isn't good enough to meet the standards then it's not good enough. It's simple. Black and white. Look at their rosters. It's not the same level of competition. That could change as it's been stated it's an "evolving format". As a fan...I want the best players the can get. Canadians sure don't seem to mind playing in the Spengler Cup against Team Canada.
-
I never wish for our guys to be injured, but with our depth, I have no problem if Franzen is on IR till the trade deadline when the 23-man roster limit is lifted. That way we could keep Ouellet up and not have to expose Kindl to waivers(if he's not traded).
-
Not sure if you're serious or not... Toronto already has some of the worst long-term contracts in the league in Clarkson, Phaneuf and Lupul. Don't think they need another one.
-
Actually that's exactly what the tournament itself will do since it runs from Sept 17- Oct 1. Gives players a high level of competition before camp starts.

Mike Richards on waivers... Not that I want him...but it's interesting ... -
They care because they're professionals and they are selling themselves and the sport.
