I wasn't implying any of that stuff. Just that "injuries" was much more appropriate for your analogy than any one team... Dabura your stress level has risen noticeably since the Jarnkrok trade. lol

A weak Canadian dollar has repercussions throughout the league. Here's why... And included in the top 3 are almost always Toronto and Montreal. Here's the source of the quote and a good read to understand Nashville's place in regards to profit sharing and how they're affected.
-
Profit Sharing. It's essential to teams like Nashville. They heavily rely on teams like Toronto and Montreal.
-
If you're using the analogy of the Titanic then the iceberg is "injuries" itself. No team in league has "cost us the playoffs" by themselves. Injuries have completely derailed this season and may completely sink us.

Not to mention not sourcing any material so we can actually have a discussion about it...

Oh right how could I forget the Isles first rounder. How silly of me.
-
You included absolutely nothing of significant value for arguably the best defenceman in the game. Top 5 for sure.
-
Soooo you're saying there's a chance.....
-
It's relative to the severity of the offence but It's one of the (if not THE top) factor in determining the penalty served. Other than the action itself of course. Injury would probably be a close second or arguably right there with it.

I agree that missing two games won't necessarily deter players but I do believe being listed as a repeat offender does.
-
Scoring is down a bit but it's not as drastic as you might think... League's Goals For/Game Average 13/14 - 2.68 12/13 - 2.75 11/12 - 2.72 10/11 - 2.73
-
Considering you lumped in Alfie with Cleary and Bert it's really not surprising that you don't understand...

Comeau suspended 2 games. That's surprising... Link

I wasn't meaning to mock you, I actually don't mind Phaneuf. Love certain parts of his game. Just saw it as a good chance to share that video from last night.
-
Phaneuf's so badass EVERYONE on the ice is in danger...
-
Exactly. Shea Weber fighting would be horrible for the success of the team. It would be beyond stupid.
-
Cheer up. At least we aren't the Canucks.

Marty St. Louis wants out because The Captain hurt his feelings
Son of a Wing replied to unsaddleddonald's topic in General
The only facts in any article are that he demanded a trade and had done so far before the Olympics were even in discussion and heightened after the Olympics. Again any source with the top line/playing with Crosby comments. Have never heard of that anywhere. -
Right, I question why a player who mainly plays a defensive role on our team is being judged solely on his offensive stats. You then proceeded to focus on his overpaid contract which I never disagreed with to begin with. Do I think Quincey should make less and contribute more? Yes. But I don't believe he's near as bad as people make him out to be here.

That's a lot of emotion and hate for something that's still mostly rumour and conjecture. Where did you read that concerning the first line minute/playing with Crosby comments? -
I agreed he's overpaid. You seemed to have missed my point.

1 season over 30 points does not make Quincey an offensive defenceman but I can understand why you'd be disappointed if you thought he was one. It's quite clear we do not use him in that role. He's quite average at both ends of the ice so I agree he's not a pure shut down guy either. Not everyone falls into either extreme of offensive/defensive. I agree he's overpaid and takes dumb penalties but I never stated otherwise.
