I don't think it will happen next year but I do look forward to the day he has a role on this team. Between him and Sproul we've got a couple right handed cannons coming soon.

This is a huge divisional game for both teams. Ottawa is just 3 points behind with the same number of games played. -

Team salary expenditures are calculated on a daily basis from the first day to the final day of the NHL regular season. No one is paid for playing in the playoffs thus there is no cap. At least that's my understanding of it. -

Sammy no. But Z by himself put us at around 5 million in space once we're down to a 23 man roster. As I understand it as long as Z doesn't play a regular season game then we're fine. -

We don't have to clear any salary. With Zetts and Sammy on LTIR there's over 7 million in cap space. -

I never thought I'd see the day where Quincey's resigning would be discussed. Schenn is a glorified pylon. I had high hopes for him in Toronto but he just seems to have no hockey sense or foot speed. He couldn't stick with the Leafs and now he can barely crack the Philly lineup. Those are two of the weakest defensive teams. -
Exactly. Anyone recall our 6th round pick from this past draft? Mark McNulty? Has scored 24 points in his past 25 games. Oh and he's a defenceman. Oh and he's 6'6". Oh and he has over 100 pims. He is third in the WHL for goals by a defenceman at 17 behind first round picks Morrissey and Pulock. Point is guys surpass ratings and expectations.

So word is, Kesler requested a trade at the beginning of the season and was telling people after the bronze medal game that he wanted out of Vancouver. Original source was Louis Jean and was retweeted and commented on by Bruce Arthur and Bob McKenzie. Mike Gillis would neither confirm or deny. Kesler's agent denied. -

Tough to get value when you can only trade with one team and that team knows it... I guess they can always keep the disgruntled player. But that's good for no one. -

Right and that's why he will be traded. Rarely do players get traded when they're carrying the team on their back. It's usually when they struggle and he had success in Tampa. Not saying he has the same value as Callahan. Tampa could always send a bad contract the other way(Malone/Brewer). -

If you haven't noticed by now your constant undermining of, well just about every person/player/prospect in the system/organization is getting old. Just look at how people respond to just about all of your posts. You've got a negative spin for everything and everyone. But just wait...that NEXT draft will be our saviour right?

Rumour is he wants to go to New York. His home is in Greenwich. With that NTC he somewhat controls his destiny. Besides I'm not so sure I'd be in favour of a deal including any of Nyquist, Jurco, Tatar for a 38 year old. If we were a serious contender then absolutely but we're just not there yet.
