Ya what happened to 99.9% of going nowhere...said 2 days ago...lol

Scroll up? darkmanx expressed what was meant(which seemed obvious for many of us), Euro acknowledged and thanked and we moved on....

Talk about beating a dead horse. Everyone knows what was said. He clarified after that when he said it "doesn't matter" he meant "it doesn't matter as much to him" Let it go...

Totally understand. I was in California last Olympics. Completely ruined it for me. lol I think your caps lock key is broken... -
Listen, if someone said it doesn't matter to them and then came in here and started acting like it does, then fine, call them out. But don't take a comment said by one person and apply it to all of us...
-
I was just pointing out the irony of the situation. Relax. lol
-
A guy named "hillbillywingsfan" bragging about "ice dancing". Gotta love the Olympics.
-
Ok?? So you're offering an opinion on a game you didn't watch...thanks...

1 Hockey GOLD down... 1 to go... PS. That's karma for the cocky comments in the final minute of regulation. It aint over till its over.
-
Well no. There's even been discussions during this Olympics that women's hockey is at risk of even being in the Olympics because there's only two competitive countries. It's embarrassing for the Olympics to have such ridiculous lop-sided scores in any event.

Honestly, after the game I came on and saw that criticism and laughed. You've obviously never been in Canada while the Olympics are on.... If you're not working during elimination games(watching on a tv there), then you're at a bar or friends place surrounded by other fans having the time of your life. No offence to LGW but this is the last place I'm going to be during any of these games. -

Absolutely but they're not alone. I would say so do the Czechs and Slovaks. Laco over Halak...Nedved and others over Hudler, Hejda, Vrbata... Russia just seems to be so focused on some grand big scheme and forgot to complete step #1. -

"One player on this roster nobody can reproach was the captain. Playing with a suspected injured knee, Pavel Datsyuk was easily the best player on his squad in this tournament, tying for the team scoring lead with six points (2-4) and a force on every shift. His linemates, KHL stars Ilya Kovalchuk and Alexander Radulov, also had strong tournaments." "Most notably on this night, Datsyuk stood there and answered endless questions about his team's failure, in both Russian and English, polite and patient throughout in his Wednesday postgame presser -- unlike some of his young star teammates that bolted through the interview area as if they were late for a flight (Kovalchuk and Radulov among them)." "Inside I feel absolutely empty," Datsyuk said through an interpreter. "Disappointed we lost with home advantage and we can't score today. Hard to win if you're not scoring." Both on and off the ice, Datsyuk made Russia proud, and that shouldn't be forgotten in the rubble of this collapse. And leave it to another classy veteran to put it in perspective. Finnish legend Selanne openly felt bad for the host team's nightmare end. "I feel sorry for Ovi and the rest of the Russians, because they had a dream to win the gold medal here in front of the home crowd," said Selanne, who scored the game-winner in the opening period. "But in hockey you never know. That's why it's so exciting because you never know what's going to happen. Tonight was a good example of that." LINK -

Call ups.. Sheahan, Emmerton, Pulkkinen and Almquist
Son of a Wing replied to FireCaptain's topic in General
Why else would they do it today? Other then the fact that they resume practice at 2pm and are short many guys. Otherwise I would think they would wait. -
He's had an extremely good year in the NHL as well. Well more so recently. No way Pittsburgh trades one of their top prospects they're extremely high on.

I mentioned this in the other thread. From KK. Seems to just be bodies for practice till Olympians return. -
Trade deadline fast approaching - who should we target?

First off welcome to the boards. This is from KuklasKorner: So I guess it could just be bodies for practice till the Olympians return. But who knows. -

Emmerton, Sheahan. Almquist and Pulkinnen all recalled to the Wings today.... -
Every single year it comes down to a lot of "ifs". IF we can stay healthy... IF Howard can take another step forward... IF Dats and Zetts can maintain their elite play... IF our young defence can raise their game collectively... IF Holland can make a ballsy move... Welcome to sports! Some people never cease to amaze me with their glass-half-empty mindsets.

Why does everyone keep bringing up Bogosian? He was just signed to a big (albeit fair) contract and has a full NMC. The Jets have publicly stated before he's a piece they're building around and there hasn't been a single rumour anywhere he will be traded. I get people like him, but there is literally 0% chance he's dealt. -
It's called hope. And I will always have it. It's the people who always think the grass (players) is greener elsewhere who are the problem... Never grateful or even aware of what we have...
