I thought it was a different approach and probably a learning lesson for the league. Don't understand all this irrational hate. It was still an entertaining game and had much better than conditions than our Winter Classic. Many players stated the ice was better than even a few NHL arenas. Players, their families and the fans of those teams seemed to really appreciate and enjoy it and it's great exposure for the sport in California.

I know a lot of people take Babcock's comments/lines/decisions at face-value but let's not forget he has a degree in sports psychology.

I don't think a budget team like Nashville is going to cough up 28 million for 2 years of the new contract and then deal Weber. It just doesn't make sense.

I think we're definitely trending upwards. Seen some very positive things recently. Not just the Hawks game. Some people want to focus on the failures from the first 40. I'm going to focus on the opportunities coming from the next 40. I believe in these guys.

Yes you did. You said unless they're making it to the 3rd round of the playoffs it's a waste of time and we'd be better off with a higher draft pick. That would be a top 4 team which constitutes being a favorite. How is it in our best interest to lose the playoff streak, tank in a weak draft year, and miss the playoffs and all the experience that comes with it for our younger guys?
