Lefty you've got to realize there's a reason why multiple people call you out on your trade proposals time and time again and no one, who's rational, agrees with you. Your values are way off. It's not personal. You have a reputation for this so people are going to call you out. Just like the Franzen stuff.

I really can't imagine Hamilton will be available though. Flames have made that more than clear. I don't think Shattenkirk is the answer to our problems though. I'd say try and target one of Anaheims many younger defensive players. They have quite a few of varying value.

How do you know Holland thinks differently? He's never been in this situation... Also I'm not sure what you mean by Helm to stay on IR. He's already practicing with the team. You can't just choose to keep a player on IR. Even if you do irrationally hate him.

Haven't seen anyone "pushing for Mantha to get dealt for a dman". Definitely have seen many open to the idea for the right player. There's a big difference. Similar to the difference between a GM shopping a player and listening.

Werenski for the Calder for sure. Laine and Matthews don't have quite the consistent impact he does. Kid's a stud.

I believe it's always important to play to win to maintain that competitive culture. Culture and morale are often overlooked by fans. It's not worth getting that bad anymore to improve a few small percentage points in a lottery.

To be fair Trouba is three years younger. For a defenceman, the difference between 22 and 25 is alot.

Saad, Foligno, Dubinsky, Hartnell, Anderson, Johnson and Savard also all play with an edge. This team is built for this style of play.

Almost everyone on the website? I know he's been linked as a trade target, but it's almost unanimous he's the weakest of those rumoured. (Trouba, Hamilton). Strong consensus is he's a #2 or #3. Seems most agree with that from what I've seen.

AA sits: Andreas Athanasiou logged 5:13 for the entire game and didn't get off the bench in the third period after being on the ice for Ottawa goals in each of the first two periods. Said Blashill: "It's a coach's decision. I'll just leave it at that." Athanasiou has had defensive issues. He failed to stay above Evander Kane in the third period Tuesday, on the play in which Kane scored the winning goal for Buffalo. -

We would have to give up draft picks, not gain them, or take on bad contracts, to have teams take on that much salary. Not to mention both Ericsson and Kronwall have full no trade clauses. As much as I'd like to see it, they're not going anywhere.

Crosby and Malkin were there before Botterhill so no I wouldn't say he oversaw the rebuild. Tampa and St Louis never went through a rebuild in the years those guys were there. At least not in the sense we're talking about.
