I usually regret replying to your posts and this time is no different. Just can't help myself with some of the things you say. Just to clarify I never said anything close to bad about Chelios. Just that he was 37 and Chicago didn't fear him much anymore or see the high risk in playing against him within the division. That's all...which was the entire point...lol But thanks for clarifying he wasn't in his prime anymore

Man you get off topic quick.. nobody said he was a non-factor, just that it was a horrible comparison as stated above. The original point was I don't see Buffalo trading their best player to a top division rival and thus having to face him as much as possible.

Chelios was 37 at the time. Chicago didn't fear playing against him. Vanek is 29, in his prime, and by far the best forward/goal scorer on their team. Not a good comparison...

I really like this trade for both teams. One team needed centers while the other needed wingers and cap space. Mission accomplished. -

He instigated the events by being unsportsmanlike through snowing the goaltender of a losing team and proceeded to not defend himself. You can't poke the bear and then cry victim. 2. What lead to the altercation is irrelevant. The actions taken on by the opposing teams player have no place in or outside a rink. The assault was excessive and he should be charged accordingly.

Agreed GoaloeManPat. Just for the record I never stated I wanted Bickell. I just disagreed with F.Michaels statements. Hence the waiting till next summer comment.
