Well it was actually Boll who was making the hit, missed, and hit Modin. Modin went down but Boll got hurt.

So you think it is realistic to expect 6 forwards to be putting up points all the time? We're at the top of the league in goals and we don't even have that. I think you're expectations are a little high.
-
Sure they're inconsistent but that's just one of the reasons why they are second liners and not first liners. Still doesn't change the fact that we have more 20 goal scorers than any other team in the league. Personally I think we are a little spoiled and don't quite realize what we have. I can understand though if you're worried that some of the young guys will go cold come playoffs. Just try and give them the benefit of the doubt now that the roster is set. When/if they disappoint then you can rip them.

You can defer it more than 1 year? I don't think thats true but it could be...

Well isn't that assuming all the bonuses are hit? I was under the impression that the contract was around 900,000 and then all the bonuses allow the player to hit that 3.7 range. I could be wrong and I'm sure someone will correct me if I am.

And why would that be at all relevant in an article about Holland and how he has been successful in the last 10 years?
-
Vyborny? The same guy with 6 goals and 23 points this year? He is not a top line player.

Since I was born so 1984. Born and bred with my dad being a former one

I think that's the key part right there. 11 of 13 is pretty significant.

What would s/he be kidding about? The Americas are the lands of the Western hemisphere or New World, consisting of the continents of North America and South America with their associated islands and regions. Only the US refers to themselves as America...figures...

Link Also here's a link to a must read Avs article for a good laugh.

Part of being a fan is having expectations. When your team is 1st every year in the regular season, the expectations start getting high. It's all just natural progression. This guy makes it sound like fans should wait for the team to suck again before they can start complaining. If that's what you think the main issue is than you completely missed the point. Samuelssen had a rant about how "Red Wings fans and all hockey fans are negative Nancies, each and every one, and he feels that the trade deadline brings out the worst in what hockey fans are." Then Malik (the author) defends fans by saying: He said many other things to back up his position but I'm not going to copy and paste the whole article...

I was gonna say something as well but decided not to. He's much better than these "new-age" posters.. just kidding guys.....

Hey man I agree 100% he's one of the top players I would love on this team. I do think he will eventually leave Florida and it will be exciting when he does. edit...sp

That is 100% pure media speculation. There has never been any proof. HAHAHAHAHA You're kidding right? I don't mean to be a dick, but this guy is a franchise player. The Red Wings you listed have close to no trade value. A few scrubs and a couple draft picks for a top 15 forward in the league? You're dreaming. Now I'm not going to trash you're proposal without putting up a trade of my own. Although I wouldn't do it....but it's what I think Florida would ask for Jokinen. Filpulla, Kronwall, Kindl and a 1st. edit...wrong quote

An unrestricted free agent can sign with any team and his previous team is not owed compensation. A restricted free-agent, on the other hand, beings along a compensation requirement in the form of draft picks. The number of draft picks goes according to the new salary of the player, with the most lucrative contracts requiring the team signing the player to pony up five first round draft picks.

The wheels do you no good when you don't have the hands to go along with them. If he was fast and could hit then that would be an exception but he can't... He is a decent 6-7th d-man and gives us good depth. You expect anymore and you will only be disappointed. And just for the record, Lebda had a team-worst 20 giveaways in the second quarter. (Andreas Lilja was second with 13.)

Also a good list on HF Boards

Anybody able to answer my question from above?

Next year would Quincey have to pass through waivers to be sent down or does he have one more year of eligibility? Furthermore, where on the web can you find this kinda info? Thanks in advance.

Link That’s according to Khan(!), who blogged from the evil depths of Rexall today. Also worth noting that, as rumors swirl prior to Tuesday’s 3 p.m. trade deadline, Babcock said Valtteri Filppula isn’t going anywhere. He had been rumored as possible trade bait for Atlanta’s Marian Hossa. Filppula was back on a line with Pavel Datsyuk and Tomas Holmstrom in practice. Believable? Yes. Could Babcock by lying? Yes. Gut tells you? Fil’s staying. And from Helene St. James’ blog, “Guys like Val Filppula and (Johan) Franzen, they’re not going anywhere, I can tell you that right now,” Babcock said. And how about “guys like Hudler, Kopecky or Lebda?” No word on that...yet.
