I think we got the message in the first topic you posted.......3 hours ago....... If people have them they will message you. No more new topics please. -
Being reported on TSN (tv not website) and the Fan radio. Also at HFBoards and Calgarypuck.com. Updated as Official from TSN website

updated as official....

New York Islanders traded Olli Jokien and Roberto Luongo to the Florida Panthers for Mark Parrish and Oleg Kvasha.

My apologies I mixed up Nashville's two young d-men. I was referring to Shea Weber. The fact that he's only played half the season through me off. I don't really follow Nashville that much but remember reading that Weber's agent would use Phaneuf's contract as leverage in negotiations. Not that he's at that level yet but would still command a very hefty raise.

Somewhere in Nashville Ryan Suter is grinning from ear to ear....

Yeah but it's a gamble all teams are eventually forced to make. Otherwise the RFA player can hold out and recieve an offer sheet. Someone else WILL pay it. So you lock them up long term and hope it pays off. I think this contract will be fair overall.

Kronwall and the term "out indefinitely" occur far too much in the same sentence......

Saw this posted on Kuklas Korner and thought I would share. Always knew he was one of the best puck handlers but this is just great to watch. I wonder how many takes they did. name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="373"></embed></object>&"> name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="373"></embed></object>&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350" />

Jonathan Toews - Chicago (speaks for himself) Alexander Edler - Vancouver (6-3 220 solid all-round player) Peter Mueller - Phoenix (turning it on as well, 6 points in last 3 games, 28pts in 46 games overall) Tobias Enstrom - Atlanta (29 points in 50 games for a rookie d-man is impressive)

Probably should have been a 2 min minor. Nothing more. The only reason it's being discussed is because it is Downey and Olesz got hurt. Anyone disagree?

Wow, just wow. I bet the video of Greyzky's reaction is just as entertaining.

Yeah I agree, after I watched it a couple more times even a penalty would be questionable. Just following through on a check. Whether he meant to or not is completely irrelevant. You're judged on your actions not your intentions.

For all you Americans, here's a link for live feed online. I haven't been able to test it (living in Canada) so hopefully it works for you guys. Link

Shane Hnidy and a 6th for Brandon Bochenski. Not a lot to discuss here just informing the Red Wing nation. Press Release

Well I think most would agree that before this season started, the general consensus was that San jose was a team with a great offense, average defense and solid goaltending. At least that's the way most people on these boards (including me) had saw things. After following them this far into the season, I am amazed that they are doing as well as they are. Their offensive production has been absolutely horrendous yet they still sit 5th in the west with a record of 18-11-5. Joe Thornton is the only player on the team with over 15 points with a whopping 40. Jeremy Roenick has the next best pts/game ratio. Marleau 15pts -6, Michalek 15pts +3, Bernier 11pts -1, Cheechoo 9pts 0, Roenick 15 pts -3 They do have the lowest goals against in the league yet I have not heard one person (hockey analyst or fan) comment on the play of Nabokov. According to his stats he's the best goaltender in the league. (yes better than Osgood lol) Is he completely responsible for the shut down defense? Who do they have on defense that has been so good? Other than the unheralded Douglas Murray who has nearly double the +/- of anyone else on the team. Their supposed powerplay quaterback Matt Carle has been a healthy scratch in 4 of the last 6 games. So the questions I ask are......Is this team completely reliant on just two players in Thornton and Nabokov and how far can that take them? Were the big contracts they offered to Michalek and Marleau a big mistake or are they just in a funk? And if they do get their offense rolling and live up to the expectations many have put on them, how dangerous will they be?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but his no-trade clause doesn't kick in till next year. Not saying we would ever have a chance...just pointing out.

Also if anyways pays attention to the TSN power/player rankings... #1 Team - Detroit #1 Winger - Zetterberg #1 Defenseman - Lidstrom #1 Goalie - Ozgood #3 Center - Datsyuk

I had a hard time with the USA and FIN rosters as they are very subjective. And obviously Canada has far too many too choose from but I feel those are the best. If you do not agree with the players please vote for the country and post your own line. Also, I obviously did not include all countries just those that are usually the major competitors and look to be the strongest for the upcoming Olympics. Just realized I forgot the Czechs. Crap....oh well. LW Hejduk C Lang RW Jagr ?

I have to agree. This would be the most practical way of going about it. Great flexibility for both sides. Especially for a 37 yr old player. Not that Lids has shown any signs of slowing down.

12 year, $69m - an average of $5.75m per. TSN Link Centre Mike Richards, who has emerged as one of the league's top two-way forwards this season, has agreed to terms on a contract extension with the Philadelphia Flyers, sources tell TSN. Flyers' general manager Paul Holmgren and Richards' agent Pat Morris are reportedly finalizing the language of the contract, which sources suggest is a whopper in terms of length, in excess of 10 years, perhaps as many as 12. There is no definitive word on what the contract will average out to for the Flyers in terms of an annual salary cap hit, but it;s been suggested it will be in the $5.5 million to $6 million range. Richards was scheduled to be a restricted free agent after this season, but the extension will take him off the market and keep him in Philadelphia. Related Info In his third NHL season, Richards has exploded offensively. He leads the Flyers in goals (14), assists (20) and points (34). A reflection of his complete play his season: Richards has four powerplay goals, three shorthanded goals and three game-winning goals. He also has a +10 rating. A former first round pick, 24th overall in 2003, Richards has 35 goals and 100

Well Hasek has had the same team in front of him so what does that say about his stats? Well with Howard coming up, it would make just that much more sense to sign him long term. To have that duo at around 3 mill for 3 years would be amazing. edit. and to add, Ozzie has not just played well for the beginning of this season, he has been absolutely solid for the past three years. Eva brought up the stats in another thread and I'm sure s/he will in this one. -
And that also means they are guaranteed to stay in Nashville for a minimum of 5 years correct? Or is there an attendance clause that would allow them to move?
