Actually there is nothing knee jerk about it. Last year we had more proven forwards and unless you forgot we lost the whole second line including the only other center proven to handle a second line. So of course it was harder to shut them down, there was more proven scoring depth on the other lines. Now hey Filpulla may prove himself and be the second line center by playoffs but he hasn't yet. We have less top scorers so we have to spread them out so its harder to match lines. Not to mention thay are both natural centers and both WANT to play center. edit. spelling

And what's your point. Hudler is better than any of those guys were at his age. Therefor one could assume his future would be just as bright as those "all stars". I don't see why you feel the need to constantly bash players like Hudler, Sammy and Kopecky. It's really getting old.

So we can have one proven scoring line and 3 energy lines? No thanks it's far to easy to shut down for the opposition.

Well Datsyuk and Zetterberg both want to play center badly so I'm sure they are in support of breaking that line up as well. They are both clearly better at center anyways. Im sure you will see that line on the powerplay regardless so no worries.

I find the best way to control your carb is to front load them. Meaning eat a good amount of carbs in the morning and limit them as your day goes on. By dinner time you should be be eating a choice of meat with vegetables. You need carbs ESPECIALLY if you are active as they are the main source for energy. Also always have a strong source of protein with every meal. Great thread by the way. I am currently about 190 which is the lightest ive been since high school. I dont exactly see that as a good thing though because I've lost a good amount of muscle mass. Its tough to keep up the hardcore training after coming out of university football. I plan on working my way back into the intense training this next week though and will post my results.

I've been a regular subscriber to Center Ice for 3 years now but am going to opt for the online version this year. Its very appealing that you can access your account and watch games from anywhere in Canada or US. Plus my computer screen kicks my tvs ass. lol

What has Kopecky done that has been sooo bad. You constantly bash him and single him out in every thread. What is that you see that Wings mangement does not? Even Babcock raves about him and expects him to take another big step this year just like he did last year.

Did I miss when we actually signed Sopel? I wouldn't get your hopes up. Oh and our defence is better for sure but I would take their top 6 forwards over our top 6 ANY DAY.

Who are all these offensive defenceman you say we're overloaded with? Kronwall has yet to show much of any steady offensive production at the NHL level, (he has flashes of brilliance only to go into a shell for weeks) leaving Rafalski and Lidstrom as our only 2 proven offensive defenceman. For a puck possession based team that is far from too many. Lebda works great as a cheap role player. How much do you actually expect out the guy? Don't you think you're being a little harsh? He was our lowest paid player last season, he's young and has only played 1.5 seasons in the nhl, and has decent upside. I see that as pretty damn good value in a salary cap era. And to make it sound as if there are numerous regular members on these boards claiming Lebda is better than Kronwall is just plain ludacris. Kronwall is if anything overrated on these boards. You should spend less time posting, more time reading.

Its tough when only a fraction of the people on these boards are actually from Detroit. A decent fraction buy still. Im from Ontario so I could probably make the trip.
