Cherry didn't have a thing to say about Roberts getting jacked...I'm surprised the other announcers didn't call him on it...his "boy" getting owned by a Euro player. fun stuff.

I like Babcock. I think he needs a goalie coach though, and possibly a better defensive coach.

I think Ovechkin's better. Crosby's good, but across the border here he's way overhyped.

I don't think Stuart will be the knock down D-man everybody is hoping for...He'll be asked to be more of a puck mover and asked to shy away from his game...don't expect him to play like he was in Calgary.

Yeah yeah, yeah....well, the crow was good. I captured a nice fat one and deep-fried it in peanut oil. It had a tasty kind of tang to it, like he just feasted on some possum road kill. Lets assume that Stu keeps playing like that...If our 2nd line all of a sudden starts producing offense, you think we can beat the ducks in 7 games??

I agree with that. I think his hands were tied by the cap also. He did try. I think he needs to start drafting some more North American players to compliment the Euros, and focus on playing our younger goalies to get experience. Outside of that, he still does a decent job.

If all ESPN covered was College Football and NHL, that would be my favorite station. Otherwise I don't have any use for it. College Gameday rocks. Kirk Herbstreit is *** though.........

We got a little tougher and more physical with McCarty and Stuart.......we needed scoring on the 2nd line badly though. I will grade the deadline a C- I don't think we'll last in the playoffs without 2nd line scoring, but maybe Babcock can experiment some.

If Holland stands pat at the deadline, can the team make it out of the first round? I don't think so..The Vancouver game told all I need to know about this team.

Look, just because LW and I don't drink the Red Kool Aid like most of you homers do, doesn't mean that the points we make are bad. The fact is that Holland isn't doing jacks*** today means that we probably won't be as competitive in the playoffs. In fact, Dallas just got considerably stronger today, as well as Colorado. We don't even match up well with the Ducks as it stands today.

For every Shanahan and Hull, we get Lang, Bertuzzi, Calder, ect. He's kind of 50-50 I'm thinking the reason Hossa hasn't been traded yet is that Kenny is in on that deal, and Stuart as well. we'll see.

We better make a move. All of our main competitors have gotten stronger at of 1:30. Either Kenny is working on something big or he's standing pat, which is a bad move. We'll see....

Tell ya what. I'll take a balanced team with 2nd line scoring over what we have right now in the playoffs. I'll eat my crow if they make it past the first round and win the cup.

Will he make a significant trade in the next 4 hours? probably not. Holland is too tied into his prospects after last year's debacle.
