Espo said today on his show that the Wings are looking at Tkachuck, and that he would be a better fit with the team. Thoughts? I thought Guerin was a better fit...we won't get both, probably lucky to get either.

With the new rule tweaking, I would guess that we are going to need some "Goons / Power forward / Grit" for next year.....getting them now for the picks and getting them signed or picking up a contract seems smarter than open market.

Word on the XM is that Anaheim offered two 1st round picks and a "significant player" .........Thats too much for an injury riddled guy who is going to retire soon.

Jason Williams, Maltby, and Osgood need to go away. Like I said Dats needs to have a good postseason or just forget him. schneider needs to shut up and just play.

The new NHL seems to suit the wings style, as predicted. you still need toughness and snarl in the playoffs, so we need a big tough winger, whether it be Guerin, Tkachuck, or Bertuzzi. Babcock was the right coach to replace easy rider dave, now it's up to Holland to tweak the team for the playoffs. Rest Hasek, or we are done. Osgood is a shadow of his former self, Hasek's all we got. I don't think 1st in the division matters as long as we get in.

Just for the fact of the free promotion they were getting from sportscenter, it would have made better business sense to stay. I agree totally with this. so f**king what if he's controversial. Chelios was hated almost as much as Lemieux back in the day. Bert will fit right in, probably him and Cheli will end up good buddies.

I've gotten in a few scraps in my time, and the worst pain is breaking or fracturing fingers. I got into one where I swung at a guy, he dropped down to avoid it, I slipped on the ice a little, and fractured my thumb . It hurt like hell for about a week and a half, still have the bump. Got into a bar brawl a while back (1999) and busted my index finger and impaled my knuckes on a dudes teeth. Had to go to ER and they had to pull them out...that hurt worse...much worse. Bled everywhere, tetnus shot, swelled up so bad they couldn't move for a month. My one knuckle still is screwed up from that. Another time I got my hand stuck on a helmet cage and sprained my wrist so bad they wanted to operate on the ligaments. Fighting isn't much fun anymore because of the ER bills and wrecking your body parts.

Feds was great while here. Personally, I hope he does well, but since he left, he isn't the same player. He should retire a wing, and probably will down the road.

Trade him. He is almost usless along the boards.
