Redden just turned 30. Prospects I don't know but the do have Meszaros, Phillips, Preising and Volchenkov all between 24-30. With only Preising putting up numbers close to Redden...

Your right they had more expereinced players surrounding him .Don' get me wrong he is a good player. If they had better goaltending they would of made the playoffs. Malkin is on a team with more rookies and sophmores and 2 years ago were at the bottom of the NHL... Malkin will get better then Stastny next year and the years to come. And don't get me wrong the avs got themselves a star for years to come...

I say with the money we save on letting Lang go, add all the money our classy players are saving us by signing cheaper. And WE should go after Drury...being a c/winger does'nt hurt either...
