Maybe some of the people posting in this thread aren't old enough to remember how dirty Chelios used to play. Anyone remember the highstick's on Yzerman?? I'm old enough, I hated him when he started in the league and then he wentt to one of 2 teams I REALLY dispised him going to chi town or toronto. It took a little while but I accepted him and saw the what he brought to the team he played for. He grew up in chicago, and I'm sure he hated all Detroit teams. Still chose to come here. Look what he endured this year with his resturant, handled that pretty classy. Let it go...

Like I said if they did not say it on T.V. there would be no dicusion. We don't see how many hands are shaked as their skates are spit on. I have watched the shaking of hands but never had a check list to make sure everbody was there with smiles in there eyes and flowers in their hair. When your the winner, of course you'll be there. On the loosing side, emotions take over, I'm sure he will shake the hands of who he wants to in private a more personal thing. Don't forget a few olympics ago when a young USA team trashed some hotels, I beleive he and a few others paid the bill and had no part in the destruction. Thats a great role model in my eyes. A much more noble thing then shaking hands. I could go on, its all because of certain people and the media that is getting all blown out of shape. ITS HAPPENED BEFORE AND IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN...

Was that 95/96? I thought Dino was done by then but looked up his stats before I responded and saw he played untill 98/99. I still know quite a few players felt that way and or thought it. I'm sure many players did not shake his hand...

Like I posted its noy yhe first time its happened. If they did not mention it on cbc you would never of noticed. There is more thats said and done on the ice then we will realy ever know. He has an opinion just like you and me. I will still applaud him for that. By the way what do you have against him...must be a ducks fan since you just joined...

I'm sure it happens alot more then we know... Better that then who was it McCarty that said, and a number of wings thought it to that "I can't beleive I shook his ******* hand" meaning tha infamous claude "the repundent turtle" lemieux... It is the only sport that does it and I applaud hockey for it, but if you have that strong feelings you should be able to do what you want, he could be injured or maybe needed to go to the bathroom...

I had heard a while back that they wanted to get him in the last 5 games. That would make him play this Friday against the Stars. I would like to see him get as much game time in, to get back into game shape, timing and all that he needs to polish up on. You know from not playing, getting hit and so on... You know this injury did not just happen overnight, so he was playing with this injury and mind I say playing very well.

Well I make sure to watch the game. I grow a playoff beard, not that I can gow one. I NEVER cut my hair into a mullet again and colored it red again...Not that I did then either...lol P.S. I like that cigar tradition, that was first mentioned... OH YES, and best of all was that I split up with my ex 1 week before the 2002 season ended, and eventually divorced . I will never marry again so I am willing to share this tradition with as many people who could use it. IT SURE HELPED...

After that lousy loss to the Flamers. Ken Danials and Larry Murphy were talking that Zetts was improvig each and every day and said Zetts should be back for the last 5 games of the season. So that comeback would be March 30, at home against the Stars...

Out of all this, sure I will give you our so called dead wings yeays in the 70's. If it was not for that great edm team there woulda been at least 1 more cup than the st loosers would have. and , sniff snitt... can you smell that? For your information 2 years is just the begining... By the way in those 20 odd years what did you ever get out of it??? How many Stanley Cups? Conn Smyths? Western Conferance? Pres trophy? etc.etc.etc.etc...
