All the snowboarding at the Olympics had me missing the old SSX games from the PS2. So I picked up the new one (released about 2 years ago) and have been playing it. It's like a more realistic (yet still completely unrealistic) SSX game. It's definitely a fun ride, but damn is it hard. There are new "Deadly Descents" that you have to conquer, which are riddled with areas that will cause you to fail the entire run. Huge crevasses, thin air blackouts, outrunning avalanches, etc. All in all, a fun but frustrating game. But in the end, I miss the cartoonish humor and design of SSX Tricky.

TBH, I'm not sure on the answer to that. I don't think what you're proposing is illegal, so for the time being it can stay here.I'm checking with Matt for his opinion, so it could still change.

I rotate about 30 or so Red Wings pictures on my desktop background at work. I have a couple of pictures from the '09 Winter Classic, 20 or so from this year's WC, and a few pictures from various games and so. But I'm always on the lookout for more pictures. I'm pretty sure I've tapped both Google and Bing's image searches dry. Anybody have any sources for high resolution pictures? Looking (obviously) for pictures that are wallpaper sized or so... Thanks for any help!

Haha. She's actually played (and beat) GOW 1, and she watched me play the first few stages of it the other night. She's well aware of the level of nakedness in the series. My wife likes to play games as well, though her selection is a little tamer than mine. She's a huge fan of The Sims, but she's also played Red Dead Redemption (LOVES Undead Nightmare), and many other games that I play too. She just hates Skyrim. Wondering if she's really "The One" after all...

My wife hates Skyrim, because (for some reason) she thinks the game is boring. So she surprised me by buying the God of War Saga for PS3, GOW 1-3, Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta. So I'm alternating between Skyrim and God of War, depending on if she's awake when I'm gaming.

I'm actually playing a non-patched game at the moment, simply because I hate being so damn weak at the beginning of the game. By spamming out iron daggers, I can at least get to a point where I can hold my own in the world faster than if not. And you know you're pretty early in the game when your major accomplishment for an entire evening of playing is being able to walk from Whiterun to Morthal without getting killed along the way. Hooray!! My previous character (made unplayable by a game glitch) was a level 51 archer, with a Dragonbone bow at base damage 400-something, and able to slow time by 50% when zooming. Going from that, to an Imperial bow, with no zoom/slow time, damn near getting killed by every bear I see... You might understand why I'm so anxious to get up and running again.

The Buffalo Sabres have unveiled new third jerseys on twitter today, with the help of Steve Ott. Trying something new, the Sabres have a jersey that has different colors for the front and back (yellow front, blue back), a first for the NHL. And GOD are they awful. Kudos for trying something new, but these are possibly the worst new jersey revealed this summer, and that's including the Team USA sweaters... Greg "Puck Daddy" Wyshynski is apparently not a fan either... Ouch.

I went ahead and merged your new thread with our existing Skyrim discussion. Plenty of good information here. As well, Skyrim has creeped its way into our "What Are You Playing Now" thread, so browsing through it should give you some useful pointers. I HIGHLY recommend spending time smithing and enchanting. They build skills fast, and can help you earn gold faster. As well, later in the game they will help you craft (and improve) very powerful weapons and armor. I recently had to start my Skyrim game over completely from scratch, due to an unavoidable bug. I'm currently a level 15 Wood Elf, specializing in Archery, Alchemy, Smithing and Enchanting. My last game had a bow with base power of 482, and that was with very limited use of Alchemy. I'm positive I can increase that by a few hundred this time around, since I will spend more time in alchemy to create better skill enhancement potions.

'tis a sad sad day when you have to delete ALL of your Skyrim data and game saves, and start over completely from scratch... Came across an un-fixable glitch during the Battle for Whiterun, that forced any game save of mine to lock the game up if I got within half-a-map of Whiterun. The bug/glitch was due to the fact that my house in Whiterun became my "catch all" for things I came across in the game. Hundreds if not thousands of pieces of armor, books, gems, dragon bones, keys, etc, caused the game to lock up hopelessly. So, I'm deleting it all and starting from scratch. To get a bit of a head start, I deleted all the patches Bethesda has released since 11/11/11, and am playing offline, so that I can still spam iron daggers like crazy to fast-track my smithing abilities. Once that's high enough, I'll go back and get the patches and continue on my way...

I find deviled eggs to be among the most unappetizing foods that I have ever come across.
