No. The deadline for players in Europe to transfer to the NHL and still be roster/playoff eligible was in December or January, I believe.

So Bettman's possibly opposed to sending players to Russia for the Olympics, but it's ok to send two whole teams/trainers/coaching staff/etc to Russia to play the KHL?

Agreed. Gator's energy would be a change for the better, IMO. That said, Babcock likes having the right handed shot on the point for the PP, so I'd be surprised if that change is actually made. Not saying it WON'T, just that I would be surprised to see it happen. But ultimately, this is the truest statement. Williams was on the bench for all 3 of the goals allowed, so you can't blame him entirely for the loss. But yeah, Abs for Willy is an improvement, IMO.

The refs had to have missed it. High stick is an automatic call, so the only explanation is that the 2 refs just didn't see it. I'm not saying it makes sense, because that clearly should have been a double minor. But that's what happened. Just gotta move on.
