Detroit's cap, $150 million. Everyone else's, $25 million. Though, I doubt it'd pass... My guess is that the owners are going to push for a limit to length of contracts to avoid the lifetime deals of Z, Franzen, Hossa, et al. And probably eliminate the clause where salary for a retired player doesn't count if the multiyear deal was effective before the player turns 35.

Well, yes, they have had a script as their primary design, but I wouldn't quite call it an extended period of time. The Duckies have been in that sweater since 2006. 3+ years isn't quite what I would call extended. Though, for a team that goes through jersey designs like socks, maybe 3+ years really IS an "extended period"... But compared to the Rags? Since 1926 they have only had 3 years where their current script logo (or subtle variations thereof) hasn't been used. Regarding the Minnesota jersey... Meh. I like the design of the sweater, kinda nostalgic & heritage styled. But I'm not a fan of the script logo. As Doc mentioned earlier, it looks too much like a Spartans jersey.

So, I'm moving to Dallas within 2 weeks (right around Halloween time), and thought I'd see if there are any LGW members out there that live in the DFW Metroplex, and might be interested in get-togethers throughout the season. At first, I'd vote for keeping things low key. Maybe meeting up at a Buffalo Wild Wings or something to catch the game as a group, maybe meet up before the 2 Wings games in Dallas, etc. Just a thought. Feel free to respond or send me a PM if you live in the area, and it would be something that you would be interested in doing.
