Ugh... Not a fan of the "left in the hot car so it's been warped" look... Seriously, you train your whole life and win a "rippled" medal?

Yeah, that was against Toronto. That was a thing of beauty, I tell you.

If I remember correctly, Jason Williams could do that too. I'm trying to find video of it (and failing miserably), but I swear to you, I remember a few years ago they were showing Williams doing that when he was here last go around...

I used Hockeystreams last year on 2 levels, and received mixed results. I had the regular season on the standard def level. Had no problems with it. The picture was a bit blurry, but it was easy enough to see what was going on, and I was pretty satisfied with the service. Very very rarely would I have any issues with buffering or choppiness, I'd say maybe 5-10 games out of the full season. Oh, and they seem to be about 45 seconds to a minute behind real time, so if you're browsing LGW, make sure you avoid the GDT, as you may get some spoilers coming in. For the playoffs, I upgraded to the HD package. That's when my issues started. The HD package looked great. Very clear, no blurriness or pixelation or anything. However, because the stream size for the HD feeds is a much larger size stream, even at 60 seconds of pre-buffering (the max that Windows Media Player allows), I would get maybe 3-4 minutes of play before it would have to rebuffer. And it always, ALWAYS started re-buffering right as we took a shot (or, that's what it seemed like to me!). More often than not, I would just switch back to standard def, because it was almost always an uninterrupted feed. Overall, HockeyStreams was a satisfactory service, and I would use them again (though, my moving plans for the end of the month has put a hold on any kind of subscription service for the time being). But just be aware that while they are good, there are some definite limitations.

Yeah... First game that we lose where May's not playing, and it's all we'll hear about for days... Anywho... Good signing, he brings something that's needed to the lineup, and you darn sure can't beat the price.

Alright, alright, alright. The last "LGW Enforcer" thread was deleted due to rampant off-topicism... (If that's really an ism?) Let's not let this one suffer the same fate.
-
So... About the Wings and if we need an enforcer...
-
Oy... what a heartbreaker...
-
Nope. Were people getting off topic or something? Thats the only thing I can think of to why a poll that over 200 people voted on was deleted. Wait, I'm confused. So, how do you know that not "ONE FORUM rule" was broken, when you admittedly didn't read the whole thread? To answer your question, The original "vote" thread had gone so wildly off topic, that it would have been impossible to bring it back on track. Huh. Whatdya know. Going off topic IS against the forum rules... For future reference, as Doc Holiday said, if you have concerns about the Forum Rules or enforcement thereof, please bring these concerns to a Mod privately via the PM system, rather than openly bashing the moderating team. Thanks. Now, to get the conversation back on track... I'd like to have an enforcer on the team. But it'd got to be someone who brings some talent other than fists of fury. Someone who can play into the system, chip in the occasional goal, and be defensively sound. That's a player that I will agree is needed. But a player whose only ability is to fight (and take bad penalties)? Pass.

And he's then moved on to posting additional insight behind his point of view. Looks like it's a real discussion to me. And I've fixed the topic title, so there's less confusion. That said... ANY further questions regarding the forum rules or enforcement thereof should be done privately via the PM system.

It's a discussion board. RyanK is simply stating his opinion that he wouldn't be surprised if we miss the playoffs. Agree with it, or disagree with it all you like, but if you're going to post about it, members are expected to do so in a manner that adds to the discussion. Taken directly from the Forum Rules... Seems pretty black and white to me. That said, the discussion here is about the Wings' playoff chances, not the Forum Rules or their enforcement.

Keep the discussion on topic. Insults, and posts that don't contribute constructively to the discussion will be removed.

Oh that was bad...
