HIGHLY unlikely. Unless his alter ego is Clark Kent, it's safe to assume he'll be out for a few just to be safe.
-
Hey now... It's a feel good thread after a good game. Although I haven't been very cynical of 'Pets, it's good to see him step up recently. Here's hoping he can keep his confidence up as the playoffs roll around.

Ugh... If THAT'S all it takes to get a job in advertising...
-
Terrific job on the PK. Absolutely terrific. Stifled the Blues the whole time. Good period, though a few too many penalties for my liking...
-
Nice play Stewie! WOW I'm far behind on my feed... Nice goal pecker!
-
Good fight there. Well done boys
-
Good to hear he never lost consciousness, and it's only precautionary. Godspeed to a quick recovery Hossa.
-
No intent to injure there, so it's not a dirty play... Polak was right there to check how he was after the hit. But still, that's scary to see.
-
His point is that this thread is NOT a "which goalie should/will start". He even said it in the title of the thread. So how bout we stick to the topic at hand?
-
Alright guys. While the the effort to keep the mood lighthearted after that is appreciated, let's steer clear of the Sex/Tampon/Condom references...
-
Um... They aren't handing out the Stanley Cup tonight... You do realize that, right?
-
They've done that for years. And it's Nashville Tennessee. Do we really think they know the meaning of "Classy"?
-
Yeah, that puck was in, no doubt. We benefited from a questionable review against SJ. Stands to reason it would even itself out...
-
Sorry. But the thought of bandwaggoning to another team because your "favorite" team isn't playing well is just as lame.
-
Well. There is the thought that a game where we'd get blown out was needed to help turn this team around. Tonight's the chance to find out...
-
Looking forward to it!
-
I think one of the most striking parts about this, is the small snippet about the engraving on the inside of the ring... That sums up what this team is about. You're not an employee. You don't just work for them. You're part of the family, and are valued as such.
-
To say that this is a huge faceoff would be an understatement...
-
Nice stop Ozzie.
-
A 4 on 2?! What the hell boys?
-
Wow... Too many chances in front there. No one's gonna be able to stop that many chances... Bad turnover lead to that, and no help on the defense...
-
Keep it civil, or take it to the PM's.

While that's true, the problem with the argument is that the ref signaled goal. Which means that unless the War Room can show indisputable evidence that the puck did NOT cross the line, the call as made on the ice stands. They took a LONG time reviewing that goal, so that says (to me, at least) that there was no magic camera angle that proved it didn't go over the line. The few angles they showed on FS-Detroit seem to suggest that the puck didn't completely cross the line, but with what they showed, I couldn't swear to anyone that the puck DIDN'T cross the line entirely. Nice to get the lucky end of that, but I have to agree with SupaFly...

Ken & Mickey on the FS Detroit feed had some interesting insight into that. They felt like the guys in the War Room in Toronto probably said something to the effect of "We can't say for sure it went in. If you're positive it went in, we'll be behind you all the way, but we can't say with certainty that the puck went over the line." Pure speculation, of course, but based on the fact that the call was overturned without true indisputable evidence, I have a feeling that's probably how the conversation went as well. In the end, it probably was the right call, but (shocking that I'm saying this), the replays didn't show anything that I proves it one way or another, which means the goal should have stood.

This is the 4th line that needs to be in the playoffs. They brought 2 things each shift. Energy, and skill. San Jose was caught playing the matchup game all night long, and they couldn't compete. And that goal by Leino... WOW. Said it before, and I'll say it again. Man-Crush status achieved. Great game tonight boys. Working as hard as they did tonight, winning the battles... THAT'S Red Wings hockey!
