The Red Wings official list of numbers from their website, though it's a few seasons out of date (doesn't have Quincey in #27, Goose at #14, etc). http://redwings.nhl.com/club/page.htm?id=44018

I Wish It Would Rain Down - Phil Collins

No, if he were to return, he would still be contractually obligated to play for New Jersey.

I updated my original post. Unless I did the calculator wrong (or am reading it wrong, which is certainly possible), it's a $250k/year hit until 2024/2025. So Kovalchuk costs the Devils a $3 million fine, a loss of a first round draft pick and a third round pick just to get him re-signed, and then rewards them with a lengthy cap hit when he decides it's time to go back to Mother Russia.

Niedermayer's playoff beard alone deserves it's place in the HHoF... Great to see Shanny and Cheli get in too. Very deserving class this year.

There is the possibility that Sammy is still claiming injury. Injured players can't be bought out. Colaiacovo is a reasonable buyout. With DeKeyser ready for a full season, Kindl set with a 4 year deal, and Lashoff proving to be a reasonable 7th D, Cola is a logical buyout candidate.

PHILLY?! Unbelievable. Every time I see they sign someone, I'm reminded of this article on Puck Daddy... Why Would Anyone Sign With The Flyers? http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-puck-daddy/learned-nhl-draft-winners-losers-why-anyone-sign-125955834--nhl.html -

The plot thickens. Dallas believes they're out too, per Aaron Ward... https://twitter.com/aaronward_nhl/status/352179493617668096 And Dreger... http://twitter.com/DarrenDreger/status/352181156587905025 -
From Amway to the Death Star... Probably didn't want to put out a press release about it, given how much flak they got from the Amway release/sponsorship. Puck Daddy articles STILL refer to them as the "Detroit Red Wings Presented By Amway".

Ansar KHAAAAAAN!!! tweeted that Mantha's goal is to "Make the Wings roster next season..."

Favorite show is the Vampire Diaries? Trade him. Now. All joking aside, fantastic pick. Especially since we coaxed the extra 2nd pick from SJ and still got him.

Per Darren Dreger's Twitter...

I think chaining him to his desk would be considered "Unlawful Restraint", which is illegal. THAT would be one of the dumbest things a hockey team can do.Classy move by the Hawks. Their fans (at least the more vocal ones) may be crass, and their players may be jerks, but the front office are a great group. Very nice thing for them to do.

Signed Jakub Kindl signs 4 year extension, $9.6m total, $2.4m/yr

He'll be 30 at the end of the deal, so I think you're right. -

I would have been completely against this signing at the beginning of this season. But Kindl definitely matured into a defenseman worthy of competing for a roster spot. I'm thinking this will pave the way for Coliacovo to be bought out, if he can't be traded. That leaves next year's D to look like this (when/if Smith is re-signed)... Kronwall - Ericsson Smith - Quincey Kindl - DeKeyser Lashoff as the 7th Dman -
I bet they'd be willing to give Filppula the $5m+ for 7 years he's looking for...

The Rangers will not use their remaining compliance buyout this year. So Brad Richards remains in New York, for at least this season. Pierre LeBrun... Probably the right move. See how he and the remaining big names on the Blueshirts respond to Vigneault.

Yeah, I love the Western genre too, it just tends to flop more often than it should. Gun was good, but WAY too short. I also enjoyed Call of Juarez Bound in Blood, as well as Red Dead Revolver. But it just seemed that every other attempt (or at least the ones I played) just failed in some major aspect or another.

Thus far, it is the only Rockstar game I've ever hit 100% on, both RDR and Undead Nightmare. This is probably my 5th or 6th playthrough. RDR was the easiest to hit 100% on of the Rockstar games because you didn't have to search for unmarked "hidden packages" or whatnot. At least you could use the survivalist maps to find the flowers that you needed. Easiest, however, does not mean easy. Killing 2 bears with only your Bowie Knife was a B(word-that-rhymes-with-Ditch) and a half. As was a cougar with dynamite, etc... And agreed. Red Dead is easily in my top 5 all time.

Both are amazing games, but I would have to say I enjoyed AA more than AC. Not that City was bad, it just seemed a little more far-fetched than Asylum (an entire section of Gotham quarantined off as a prison "city" sounded too much like Escape from New York to me). I'm very interested to see how Arkham Origins plays out, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed that the original voice cast isn't returning... As for what I'm playing, my sig and avatar combo should make it pretty clear...

2001 is a pretty glaring example. Only Dmitri Bykov ever saw any games with Detroit, and we all know how his NHL career turned out... I know that 1993 was before Kenny was GM of the team, but there's another missed gem in the draft that I always like to point out...

2013 Stanley Cup Finals - Boston Bruins vs. Chicago Blackhawks
Jedi replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
Don't like seeing Chicago win the Cup, but I'm ok with it for 3 reasons... #1 - They needed a tipped shot in game 7 OT to beat Detroit, so one break in the Wings favor and they might have been the team to win it all. #2 - It's not Pittsburgh. And #3 - Jeremy Jacobs is getting his rich reward for how he treated the fans with the lockout. Watching another team skate the Stanley Cup in his own building. The Hockey Gods exist. -
Make it happen, K...Sorry, I can't keep that up.
