How fun was that, huh? Huge success, to be sure. Though I think that the league doesn't care as much who won, I'm sure they would have preferred to see it a bit closer of a game. Fantastic job by Detroit to stay calm after the first, and great job wrestling control of the game back after the first period was over. Ton of fun, big solid win by the Wings today!!! -

9 straight's a helluva streak in hockey, no matter who you are and no matter who you're playing. Hard to keep the bounces going your way for that long. I like the fact that Chicago's 9 game win streak was "bookended" by losses to the Wings, though!

Damn... and I was all set to have a drinking game everytime I heard Doc say "*insert player's name* with a DRIVE!!!" Dave Strader is a terrific choice for the play by play, no doubt.

Although there's pride in the Wings on the line, realistically, I'd be fine with no one making the team. Get some rest for those who aren't at 100%, and keep those who are at 100% STAYING at 100%. At few Wings will still make the team anyways. McLellan will most likely be the West coach, and I'd be willing to bet he'll give a Red Wing or two a call to attend the game.

GREAT game. They stepped up to the plate against a RED HOT team, and handed it to them like the Men vs the Boys. THIS is the team that we've been so desperate to see. Cool, calm, but with a passion to win. Next up, Wrigley Field!!!!

Good job staying calm and collected with the 2 early PK's. Datsyuk extends his point streak to 8 games. Wicked wrist shot on the goal, combined with a great screen by Homer. Thing of beauty.

In the subsection, "New York Rangers, 2006-2008" it says as such... However, you are correct that at the top it does say he is still an Unrestricted Free Agent.

Great game by Detroit. Much closer to the full game effort we need from these boys. Couple this win with the win over SJ, and that's 2 great games out of 3. Now we know that we can still do it. Now its up to Babs and the rest of the coaching staff to keep the pressure on, make sure that they don't slouch back.
