I was a little bummed at first when I learned that we had traded Avery for Schneids. Then I realized how much of an ass Avery was/is, and I got over it.

Seriously... We lead this game 5 to 2 at the beginning of the 3rd. 5 goals in less than 20 minutes?! We played great for the first 2 periods, and then laid back for the last, and got BURNED for it.

Well, focusing on things the Wings CAN'T control, i.e. the refs, does no good. Focusing on things the Wings CAN control, such as clearing the zone correctly, that's better. And, in the case of a game that was 5-2, then 5-3, then 5-4, the goal that brings it to within one is a bigger goal than the goal that brought it to within 2. Why not focus on something that we could have done MUCH better, than focusing on the Refs?
