You mean you weren't convinced after his antics in Game 5 of the opening round in '07?

Of the 7 jerseys I have, 5 of them have been ordered from SportsK.com. And I have been nothing but pleased with them. They tend to sell Wings jerseys a bit cheaper than anywhere else, and they sell the SAME jersey you can get at other stores. It is not a knock off, off brand, or anything. I haven't ordered any of the new RBK jerseys from there yet, so I can't tell you much about those, but all the CCM jerseys I have have been 100% the same jersey that you'd get anywhere else. Check 'em out. I know that that store comes highly rated from other members on this site as well.

So, a long time back, IceJerseys.com was offering the 2005 USA IIHF jerseys, but they weren't available for very long. Now they only have the Nike Swift jerseys, or the 1980 "Miracle" jerseys. Hard to find pictures available of that jersey, but the best one I can find is this one... I would VERY much like to find one of those jerseys again, preferably in size XXL, and preferably in the blue. Any help would be appreciated. I realize this is a bit of a long shot, but thought I'd see if anyone had a connection, or knew of a local store that still happened to carry them. (P.S., yes, I've checked eBay, and haven't seen much of anything come through in the right size)

That was NOTHING compared to the Hasek vs Cujo vs Manny days of '03-04... Vitriolic is too tame a word to describe how hateful the boards got during that time...

Honestly, I don't think the Wings would want to put Stevie in the GM spot. (Hear me out before throwing your rotten fruits & vegetables). If Stevie gets promoted to GM or Assistant GM, it puts a whole load of responsibility on his shoulders. The kind of responsibility that calls for accountability as well. So if Stevie takes the helm, and the Wings tank, it puts them in an awkward position. Do they keep Stevie because of his history, and continue to tank, or do they potentially fire the (arguably) most popular player to ever don the Red & White? I think they would give him all the blessing in the world to try his hand at a GM spot somewhere else. But I doubt they would want to put him in a job with the Wings that could (potentially) lead to them asking him to step down. That said, I agree that Stevie would make a FANTASTIC GM, and I doubt that a team lead by him would tank.

The link posted in the first post actually said that the practice jersey had #81 on him. As well as this link from Mlive, says it's official that the Hoss will wear #81.

Moved to Rumor Mill.

Yeah. Run it's course. My fault. I shouldn't have brought it back up.

If he is so sick of the NHL's armed robbery, why did he ever come here in the first place?

Hell yeah we would!!! We'd declare war. Seriously. You think I'm joking? Actually, the record for most consecutive playoff appearances in North American professional sports belongs to the Boston Bruins, at 29 years, from 67-68 to 95-96. Had Montreal not missed the postseason in 69-70 (they finished tied for 4th with NYR but lost the tiebreaker due to goals scored 244 to 246), then they would have held the record at an astonishing 46 years, from 48-49 to 93-94!

There's a layer even deeper than that though. Yes, everything you said is true, but there's a bit more to it. Hossa had previously said that he would like to sign in Pittsburgh. He even said that he would take less money to sign with a contender. So the fans got their hopes up that he would be returning, and that a full year's worth of ice time with Sid & Geno would build up their chemistry. Pittsburgh's front office put together several deals to offer to him, varying in length and money. But Hossa asks to be given the chance to test the open market. Everyone knows that Edmonton put together a 7 year, 60 million deal, to which Pitts had zero chance of matching. But when Hossa surprises EVERYONE and signs a one year deal, with the team that barely a month ago beat him out for the Stanley Cup, and on a one year deal that was right in the range of what Pittsburgh was offering? To borrow a quote from Adam and Jamie of Mythbusters... "There's your problem..." Signing with the team that eliminated your team? That hurts. Signing a deal that Pittsburgh would have matched given the opportunity? That stings. But the true salt in the wound for Pittsburgh's fans is this line by Hossa when he signed with Detroit... "I want to have a best chance to win the Stanley Cup. I feel like Detroit is the team." That's just a slap in the face, no matter how you look at it.

I disagree. I think it was close until the game four 5-on-3. Doc said it best. "A Conn Smythe Shift" Not only did Z lock up Crosby's stick on that shift, but he also blocked a shot, and ended up generating offense by bringing the puck back into Pittsburgh's zone, letting loose a backhander that Fluery had to save, and then drove to the corner disrupting the Pens bringing the puck back into the neutral zone. It was close until then. After that, Z had it locked up. All Detroit had to do was follow through by making sure that we won the cup.

I guess that was a rather emphatic "NO" to answer your question! Holy. Crap. What an awesome thing to watch. Very entertaining, and almost spellbinding, as you wanted to see what exactly they would do next. Those of you who didn't catch it, you should DVR it or tape it or whatever you have to do to see it.

Careful. That could be considered trolling, and trolling other boards is a major LGW.com no-no. In short, it tends to lead to more of their fans coming over here to troll our boards. And we all know how much we hate that...
