Big gamble for Colorado. If Roy is unable to turn the team around, it puts management into the position of possibly having to fire him. Imagine Colorado having to fire the goalie who backboned them to two Stanley Cups.

I think this can be discussed in the GDT.

MacLean is a lock for this. Boudreau did well coaching a "paper tiger" to the #2 spot, so he'll get some consideration. But there's no doubt that MacLean overcame more challenges to get his team to the playoffs. Should be the Mustachioed Man winning this one. And I agree, Quenville has a ridiculously loaded team to coach. Babcock was always passed over for that very reason, so it's a head scratcher as to why Q gets the nod.

Ok. So make that TWO games I'm REALLY looking forward to in 2013... http://www.letsgowings.com/forums/topic/74668-batman-arkham-origins/

You sure it was the Lincoln memorial? Or is it possible it was the Spirit of Detroit statue?

Kane? Sportsmanlike? I know a certain cab driver in Buffalo who disagrees...

He copied and pasted directly from the article linked. If the reporter who wrote the story didn't sum up Babs' remarks correctly, that's not the OP's fault when he just posted what was written. And if the thread and topic of discussion is so dysfunctional, why exactly are you posting in it?

I know you're just trying to be funny, but it would behoove you to not put false/misleading posts here. Need we remind you of what the Forum Rules state about misleading posts/topics?

Not to be a downer, but I've heard coaches say this about upcoming free agents on their rosters countless times, only to see them leave anyway. For the record, I believe that Babs is right, and that Pavel will re-sign here. I just wanted to point out that I've heard this song and dance before. I'll celebrate when I see the "extension signed" announcement.

Alright, I finally have a game I can say I'm really looking forward to in 2013. Though, ironically, it's for a 10 year old game. Final Fantasy X's HD Remake for the PS3 will be released December 31st, 2013. In any list of my favorite video games, FFX probably ranks in at #2. (Heck, as you can see, my "elimination game" is from Final Fantasy X...)Can't wait!!

First Red Wings playoff overtime winner since Helm's 2009 game 5 winner vs. Chicago... -
Sad to see Nill go. I'd always hoped that Kenny would get promoted to Senior VP and Nill take over the GM role. Best of luck to Nill. Dallas is a city that wants to have a winning team, so he's got his work cut out for him. If he'd like to send us a Swede, I think Loui Eriksson would be a nice fit here... I'm betting that Ryan Martin (currently the Wings' Asst' GM of Hockey Operations) will take Nill's spot. Martin is whom Kenny refers to as his "Cap-ologist", and was heavily courted by Yzerman when he left to go to TB.

Signature updated to the traditional "Elimination-Win-To-Stay-Alive" signature. Now is the time to choose!

By that time the Stars had already been eliminated mathematically, so there was no point in talking about coming back and making the playoffs.
-
Sportsclubstats.com has us at 90.8% to make the playoffs. Minnesota at 95%, and Columbus at 14.4%. If that makes anyone feel better...

Only twice have I ever cheered for Dallas to win. In '11 against Chicago (CORE!) in the final game of the season, to knock Chicago out of the playoffs. Dallas lost that game... And tonight... Dallas 1:04 away from losing. The Stars seem to fail when you need them the most...
