Well... The way we started, we're lucky to be only down by one. (GOD I HATE saying that). We finished much stronger, but we sure could have used a goal on that PP.

CBC brought up a point that apparently we all know, but the Wings don't. Straight shots aren't going to beat Giguere at this point. Get him moving, and you've got chances to beat him.

Let's go boys. One win, that's all that matters tonight. Don't think about HAVING to win, or all the game 7 butterflies. Just win tonight, the rest will take care of itself. 60 minutes boys. We can do this, now let's go out and show the world that we can.

It's playoff hockey, what do you expect? Seriously, the Wings should look no further than themselves for the reason they lost tonight's game. Were there missed calls? Of course, there always are. But Detroit didn't take advantage of the opportunities they were given (and there were PLENTY given), and that's why they lost this game. One or two more penalty calls would have (most likely) been one or two more missed opportunities.

Funny thing about the playoffs though. EVERY game is "our most important game of the year". Case in point, Game 5 is now more MUST WIN than game 4...

If we scored on the 2 prolonged 5 on 3's, the Wings would have finished this one 4-3, or at the worst gone into OT if Anaheim scored when they pulled their goalie. We can go round and round on this all night. But you said it yourself, this is a TEAM game. If one side is looking weak, the other side has to step it up. True, you shouldn't have to score 5 goals to win, but if that's what it takes (and fate hands you 2 long 5 on 3's), then that's what you have to do.
