He's been solid when he's been called upon. Twice in the last three games, he's come in cold in the second half of the game, and been light's out. Glad to see him pick up a win when a switch has been made.

Hope Jimmy's ok, for sure. It's a rule in the CBA, I'm almost convinced of it. Something like Subsection 48.2, clause RW-G. "All goals scored while physically on top of the Red Wings goalie shall be counted, without possibility of review." On an interesting side note, Subsection 48.3, clause TH says "If Tomas Holmstrom is even in the same building as the game being played, regardless of his status or availability to play in said game, any goal scored by the Red Wings can be waived off as Incidental Contact with the goalie. A penalty can be imposed, solely at the discretion of the referee... ...and Gary Bettman."

The Habs had a pretty good showing when they played here earlier in the season. The Hawks have a big contingent that show up too. Pretty much any of the O6 teams seem to fill the Joe pretty well. But geographically speaking, yeah, they'll have a good showing since they're so close.

Great period there. Would have liked to grabbed a goal or two on some of the opportunities we've had, but I thought we did well to control much of the period.
