It's easy to say it was clean when we have the capability to view it and review it and slow it down and pause it, etc. When you're the ref on the ice, seeing the game going by in one speed, a hit like that from his angle probably looked bad enough to call. Was it the wrong call to make? Yeah, probably. Does that mean that this hit is now indicative of a league wide policy/conspiracy to end hitting? Hardly.

That was about the most frustrating game to watch. The Wings got beat too often on the battles to the puck, and too often tried the puck possession game, when it's one Wing skating across the line into 4 or 5 Kings... 4 losses in a row. Gotta right the ship NOW, or we're going to lose position in the pack real quick...

How in the hell did the refs miss that? The puck was right along the boards, so it's safe to assume that at least ONE of the refs would be looking in that general direction, right? Right?
