Ok boys, no late SJ goals here!

I don't get it, during the season(s) we're one of the least penalized teams, and that seems to change in the playoffs. Are we really that different, or are the zebras just trying to create things? I think it's the latter.

What a joke these refs are. So far in the series SJ have 20 Power Plays to Detroit's 10.

I'm expecting a hostile environment for The Sharks with a lot of Wings fans pissed off. I always tell people, "don't make Detroit fans mad!" Diving to try and win hockey games will come back and haunt the Sharks. Fans should bring speedos and bathing suits and throw them on the Sharks side of the ice during warm ups as a gift to those cheaters! Or put a speedo on an octopus! I would have to think the Wings will respond tonight and win 5-2.

Trying to win like that comes back to haunt you. Desperate times call for desperate measures I guess...

I picked Wings in 6 before the series, so I'm still in the running. I don't change my predictions until my pick can't happen. So I guess I'm down for 4 wins in a row here!

Agreed, I would be upset if the refs decided to clamp down on the diving in Game 3, after a team is down 2-0, because it should have been dealt with at the beginning of Game 2.

I've really been disgusted with the Sharks diving and the no diving calls yet by the refs! It's funny how European's are thought of as divers, and the Sharks are the team in this series with more Canadians. I'm starting to see a trend in hockey the last few years where the Canadian born hockey players seem to have the least amount of class compared to players born in other countries. Maybe it's because I'm a Red Wings fan, I don't know, but it seems like Canadians now are the first to whine and complain to the refs, deliver cheap shots and hits from behind, dive, and lose their temper the fastest. The Europeans now seem to be more cool headed under pressure, don't whine as much, don't cheap shot as much, and don't tend to dive as much. They seem to be a more classier bunch. Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but if you read my posts around the Olympics, you saw how unimpressed I was with the Canadian Olympic team and I'm Canadian! I saw most of those guys as hot heads, whiners, and cheap shot artists.

Agreed. I don't like to blame the refs, but 10-4 in the difference in power play chances is a joke! The Wings were killing penalties for almost a complete period! You can't tell me SJ only had 4 infractions in the game when Detroit had 10. I'm still waiting for a diving penalty call on SJ. It would put an end to their flipping and flopping. Maybe I'm biased because I'm a Wings fan, but I've been noticing since the lockout that the Europeans are classier players compared to Canadians, who are more inclined to whine to the ref, lose their temper easier, cheap shot, and dive... It was one of my biggest complaints about Team Canada in the Olympics, most of them where whiners and goons.

Nah, it has to due to the fact that 14 of the 16 teams that made the playoffs are in excellent hockey markets. I'm very happy the NHL is getting better ratings. Better TV numbers means they'll be on better American TV stations.

Someone has to do a study sometime about penalty calls in the 3rd period. I wonder how many go against the team that's ahead? 70%-75%?

The guys on the CBC intermission said Crosby throwing his stick is a penalty for anyone else. They're also saying Crosby looks tired.
