Typical playoff style hockey, a team riding a hot goalie.

Phoenix needs to get their own arena music, instead of using ours.

Not to sound creepy but what is everyone wearing? I got a white Vintage Hockey Red Wings t-shirt on. http://www.kaboodle.com/hi/img/c/0/0/76/1/AAAADG7SBSoAAAAAAHYQfA.jpg

I'll say 3-1 Wings. I can't believe how calm I am before a game like this. I almost had to remind myself a couple times today that it's Game 7 tonight. Maybe it's a sign that at 33 sports is getting lower and lower on my priority list. Edit: Or maybe after 4 Stanley Cups it doesn't fell like it's so life or death if we win or lose.

Lester B. Pearson Award renamed - Lindsay!

As much as I like Ted Lindsay, I wonder if this is the start of renaming all the trophies to former players ? Hart Trophy = Wayne Gretzky Trophy Norris Trophy = Bobby Orr Trophy etc.

    The Mule

Things tend to even out after a while. After two outstanding playoffs, maybe he was due for a below average one?

Detroit Red Wings Game 7 History

Imagine living to see the 1950's Championships? 3 of 4 had to be won in a 7th Game. I wonder what the overall health was for the city compared to other cities in the first half of the 50's ? Probably there was a lot of people complaining about ulcers, rapid heart beats, and migraine headaches to their doctors.

Officiating (I know, another one of these...)

I don't have a problem with the Power Plays being even. It's nothing new, it's been that way for years. Personally I've had no complaints with the officiating this series.

WCQF Game 6 GDT: Coyotes 5 at Red Wings 2

Right, we could have used a few of those goals in Game 5 for Games 6 and 7 in the finals last year.

WCQF Game 6 GDT: Coyotes 5 at Red Wings 2

Agreed. Who would have thought Phoenix would win today after we took Games 4 + 5? The entire series has been back and forth, so it's our turn Tuesday. Also the road team is 2-1.

You know what, I think we'll be ok on Tuesday. Games in Phoenix are almost like home games anyway. And I wonder too if Phoenix will have one of those situations where they should have saved a goal or two for Game 7. I've seen it many times where a team wins big and can't have it continue the next game. Phoenix got a lot of bounces go their way tonight, the Wings didn't, things should even out. Plus we've been coming back all year. Whatever happens, Tuesday night should be fun!

    4/24 OOT Playoff Gameday

As exciting as the first round has been, for interests sake in the next round, I think it would be best if Detroit, Chicago, SJ, and Vancouver advance to the 2nd round in the West.

Nice Ottawa nice! It's funny, were I live (outside Toronto) I'm always the one here cheering for the American team while everyone else is going Canadian. This time around everyone here is going American (Pittsburgh) and while I'm cheering Canadian (Ottawa)... Leaf fans.

    Classy

Here's my story... Actually I've been a Tigers and Baseball fan since a kid, mid-80s, I'm 33. As I got into the other sports, I naturally became fan of the Detroit teams. With the Tigers tough times from the mid 90's to the mid 00's I appreciated what the Yankees were doing with ONeill, Williams, Jeter, Tino, Rivera, Pettitte, etc.. Even though they had a big payroll, they never had the best player or pitcher in the league. After 2001 they went crazy with the free agents, so just like the rest of Detroit I was thrilled to see the Tigers beat them in 4 games in the 2006 ALDS. The Cowboys, I really became a big fan of Troy Aikman, plus the Lions just plan suck, but I'm still a Lions fan! Funny we're talking about this, today I just bought the book called Boys Will Be Boys telling about the inside dirt of the 1992-1996 Cowboys teams. Basketball, I'm not a big enough fan of the game to have a second NBA team. Go Pistons!

That 1996-2001 team they had was awesome! O'Neill, Williams, Jeter, Tino, Pettitte, Rivera, etc. . They played the game the right way, were clutch, and helped keep me interest in Baseball through some very very tough Tigers seasons... Plus I've always had a thing for the city of New York.

I have a second favorite team too, Buffalo. I'll probably get negative votes for this, but my second favorite baseball team is the Yankees, and my second favorite Football team is the Cowboys.

    Sad story...

Typical media, they should have given more info. I'm sure this was something building in their marriage, but the media trys to make it sound like it had something to do with the hockey game.

    Foligno No-Goal

The only way I say it was a goal is if it hit one of the sticks before going into the net after hitting Foligno's foot.

    Ovechkin snows a child

Personally I think it's great! Ovechkin was having fun. How many people can say they were snowed by the best player in the NHL? The kid has a great story now for the rest of his life. No harm done by Ovechkin, and it didn't look like it bothered the kid. I guess the only thing is if Ovechkin slipped and drove the kid into the boards, but what are the odds that would happen?
