Yea 1996 would be 4th on my list. However the hope I lost after 96 was quickly back when we got Shanahan. You could just see as the 1996-97 season went on how Scotty was addressing our needs. 94, 01, and 06 for me were just embarrassing.

To each their own, but it wasn't even close to being my biggest disappointment as a Wings fan. 1) 1994, 2) 2006, and 3) 2001 were far worse for me, in that order. It was a fun ride winning the Western Conference again and going back to the finals, the Anaheim and Chicago series were excellent! I was upset we lost, but I got over it quick. Wow, I have a long way to go if I want to reach the level of these 13, and I've been here since 2003! I was just thinking, with SJ and Calgary being the biggest choke teams West, the way for one of them to make it past the 1st round is have them face each other. One of them has to win!

Yea that's what I've been hearing. The FAN590 in Toronto says owner of the arena in Winnipeg has been talking with the NHL about purchasing Phoenix and moving them back. Apparently the NHL lost $20 Million this season taking over the 'yotes! Yea Hamilton or North Toronto, and also Florida can move to Quebec.

Scotty Bowman was on the FAN590 in Toronto today and he says the Olympics have hurt the Black Hawks. 6 of their players played in medal games and look tired, the team hasn't been the same. Plus they're missing two of their top D. Scotty said too watch out for the Wings. We're rested, everyone is healthy, and he wouldn't be surprised if we win the Cup again.

I don't know, maybe it's because I'm 33 and the 1997-2002 teams, but I'd put Yzerman, Lidstrom, Fedorov, and Shanahan all ahead of Datsyuk and Zetterberg. I'd have to take a day or two to think of my top 10, so I'll get back to you.

Agreed. Ovechkin is the face of the NHL and the best player in the League no question. I realized at the Olympics how good Getzlaf is. I'm not saying he's the best in the League or anything like that, I just think he's overlooked because he plays in Anaheim.
