Yea, same with Lidstrom at $4.5m.

Here's an idea, why doesn't Sid just buy new equipment? It's not like he's hurting for money, he makes $9 Million and lives in Mario's basement. I know I know it's his game winning gear.

Not to sound like a jerk, but this discussion and question comes up a lot. Isn't it just like going to any other event? Just drive to the arena, find a parking lot for a decent price, follow the pack of fans going to the venue, and have a map to find your way back to the freeway when the game is over. Seriously, when I take the car (sometimes I take the bus from Windsor) West Congress St. has a few lots you can park in for $10. When you're parked the car and pay the dude in the booth, walk west towards Washington Street, and turn left to Cobo Hall. When you're at Cobo Hall, follow the other Wings fans through Cobo to The Joe.

Yea I heard the knitting lady died too. As for Moe Cheese, I thought I saw him in October '09 against Colorado?

Official Poll: Filppula at 3 Mil. or Hossa at 5.4 + return for Filppul
Barrie replied to a topic in General
The way Filp is playing, the Wings will probably let him sign elsewhere, and you get the $3 Million off the books faster. -
I think 20 goals is a typo, 7.4% of 138 is 10. 11.2% of 138 is 15. 20 of 138 is 14.5%, that's actually good.

It's just one of those hindsight 20/20 things. I'm glad the Wings let Hossa go, that's a horrible contract for Chicago. Plus we already have Z, Dats, and The Mule locked up long term, why add Hossa long term too with a Salary Cap? -

Agreed. Edit: But I still voted, and for Filp. -
I'll be watching on TSN. I heard a rumor Sunday's game against Chicago is on NBC.

2010 NHL Trade Deadline Thread - March 3rd, 3:00 PM ET
Barrie replied to NeverForgetMac25's topic in General
I wonder if the Canadian Sports stations are going to start cutting back a bit on their Trade Deadline day coverage starting next year? Seriously they could just give an update every 30 minutes. Then maybe at 3:00-5:00 they could go to full coverage and analysis. -

Don't expect much from the Wings during Trade Deadline

Good job by Holland for staying pat. I didn't see a reason to make a move either. I heard Holland wanted someone to replace Maltby, but I think just call up Abdelkader. -
2010 NHL Trade Deadline Thread - March 3rd, 3:00 PM ET

Funny how since the lockout the trade deadline isn't really a big deal, but the media makes it a big deal. Funny too how we all get sucked in. Edit: I had a half day at work today, and I too turned on TSN this afternoon. But I did fall asleep in front of the TV for an hour at least. -
back to the Red Wings!
-
I don't know the upcoming NBC Sunday afternoon games, or the NHL schedule, but they should show Chicago, Buffalo, and New Jersey in the upcoming weeks. Edit: Oh, and the Red Wings too, because we're awesome, and we have Rafalski

Yea even in Canada Ice Hockey is turning into a rich kid's sport.

Yea I had a couple friends over to watch the game, one guy missed the opening faceoff, so he came over during the 1st intermission. He said while he was driving over, the streets were deserted. This is an understatement, Canadian's love their hockey!

Yea after Crosby scored, even though I joined in on the celebration , my first thought was, "Crap! The Crosby thing is going to get more annoying now". But thinking about it, it may force the NHL to change their marketing strategies. If their smart though, because the NHL isn't to smart most of the time.

If you thought the Bettman and Media man love for Crosby was bad now, just wait, it'll get worse now. As my friends cheered the goal I said, "Oh man why did Crosby have to score the winner?"

I'd decline the offer, and ask to spend a day with Zetterberg instead.
