This isn't a make it or break it signing, we'll still probably win the division with Sammy or Williams. Williams will be on the 3rd line, so I don't see the big deal bringing him back. Plus it's only a one year deal.

I think Wings fans at The Joe for Game 5 said it best, "Crosby Sucks!!" For me I think the worst thing about losing in the Finals is to have to see Crosby's face EVERYWHERE, more so than usual. The NHL may lose me nationally for a year until Pittsburgh loses The Cup. I can only take so much of Cindy, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way. Edit: TSN has a commercial creating awareness for TSN2. Cindy is seen 3 times in the 30 second clip. I have to change the channel every time it comes on. The 2009-10 season is months away, and I already can't stomach seeing him.

Out of the players we lost, the only one I'm surprised left or wasn't offered a contract is Hudler. Hudler gets my vote.

My cousin in Vancouver asked me what to expect from Sammy. My Response: Well Samuelsson would drive me crazy in the regular season because he takes shots from everywhere, from every angle (check out his shot totals and shooting percentage if you haven't done so already), and stupid little wussy wrist shots too. One of his bad angle shots broke Cleary's jaw in 2008. However I liked him in the playoffs because he gets the puck to the net and would either score, create a rebound, or create a faceoff in the offensive zone. He's clutch too in big games. He'll be a guy you love one game and hate the other, but overall I think it's a good signing for the Canucks because he is a top 6 forward.

I was never really a fan of Sammy, he would drive me insane in the Regular Season, but I really appreciated him in the playoffs! He got the puck to the net. Due to the cap I'm glad Sammy's gone and I'd rather see Helm and Abby get more ice time, but wish him all the best in Vancouver.

I never expected Hossa to return anyway because of the Cap. I would be more surprised if he was back, then if he left. I'm ok with Conkin gone. A Ozzie/Howard combo is cool with me.

Excellent, DMac is one of my all-time favorites. I'll have to see when the Griffins are in Hamilton in 09-10 and see him play again.
