I watch The Score. I'm friends with Kristian Jack, one of the hosts of the Footie Show. Cabbie and Ozzie are great clips. My favorite was after we swept Colorado last year. Cabbie mentioned it was hot in the locker room, and Ozzie said Cabbie should jump in the shower. Cabbie miss heard what Ozzie said and thought he wanted to take a shower with him. Funny stuff!

I got an e-mail from a friend with about 10 photos from that party. One of the pics was Crosby posing with, what looked like, a 14 year old girl. I replied with, "It looks like Crosby invited his girl friend".

I'd much rather have Filp and Hudler over Hossa. I think it's a no brainer.

Yes the Ducks-Wings series was as good as advertised. The 2002 WCF is still my all-time favorite best of 7 series. That was a series you knew you'd remember the rest of your life, win or lose, it was that important to the rivalry.

If it was up to me Hossa would be gone. There's no cap room.

I was thinking the same thing and was going to post something similar. However, I was wondering if this poster is to young and naive to realize what he/she was doing, so I went easy on him/her. Obviously they have no idea how the salary cap works and some of the upcoming problems Pittsburgh will be facing sooner than later.

The Salary Cap will break up any momentum Pittsburgh gets. Malkin and Crosby take up to much of the Pittsburgh cap. Pittsburgh ownership should have done what Holland did to the Zetterberg, Datsyuk, and Franzen contacts, and spread out Crosby's and Malkin's money over a longer period of time. The Salary Cap and the amount of energy it takes to win one Stanley Cup is what will prevent NHL Dynasties in the future. The 1995-2009 Red Wings are the closet thing we'll see to a Dynasty in the NHL for a long long time.

I'm starting to wonder if this Penguins Championship will be bad for the NHL? There's so much anti-Pens/Crosby and Penguins conspiracy talking going on right now, that it could be another negative thing for the league. The fact that Bettman is hated so much and that Crosby is his guy doesn't help the situation either, it's probably making it worse. I'm not saying this as a Wings fan, I'm saying this as a 32 year old sports fan, I don't think I've ever seen so much negativity towards a Championship team as I'm seeing towards the Penguins right now. Next year we'll see Cindy's face even more, and outside of Pittsburgh, who even likes the guy? NHL TV ratings could go down further next year just because people are annoyed. We'll see I guess...

I turned off the TV when the horn sounded, so my question is, what was Crosby doing while the hand shakes were going on? Why wasn't he in line? I'm not a fan of the handshakes after a playoff series is over. I don't think they should have to. If the team that loses wants to get off the ice A.S.A.P. it's a-ok with me. There's to much emotion involved.

I think from what you've mentioned, it would be hard to trade them because of their salaries, age, and decline in stats. The 3 of them still bring excellent leadership, and deserve to retire as Red Wings.

Don't forget the Olympics in 2009-10. A good number of our guys will be asked to play there too, to add to our 63 playoffs games the last 3 years. I hope many of our guys pass on the Olympics for a much needed break. We can piss off Bettman again!

We could see more Detroit-Pittsburgh Finals in the future. The Wings are in great shape too.

I don't have an opinion on this, but I find it interesting that the conspiracy talk is coming from Sports Illustrated and ESPN, two media sources that the NHL desperately needs!

I'm not making any excuses, but I'm really starting to think we just pain ran out of gas. We've played 63 Playoff games in the last 3 years. That's almost another full season! We played almost 4 seasons of hockey in 3 years. Insane!

Who cares, we're fans. It's our job to complain.

As already mentioned, Ozzie would have won the Conn Smythe if we won the Cup. He's going to retire a Wing, get used to him in there.

I'm a "no" for signing Hossa. There isn't any cap room, and I don't want a 4th Forward signed for a very long term. Zetterberg, Datsyuk, and Franzen are 3 excellent guys to build around up front. We still need room for a goaltender after Ozzie retires, and guys on the blueline. Don't have that much of the cap on the forwards, I want a well rounded team.
