I'm convinced people in Toronto don't get out much. They think Toronto is the be all and end all when it comes to Hockey teams, and thought people would have been lined up to take over as GM. The reality is, it's the exact opposite. Good Hockey people avoid Toronto. Fletcher will probably be Leafs GM for two more years.

I'm one of the biggest Mac fans out there, but Maltby did fine in his return. He created a few turn overs and drew a penalty. I bet Babs will rotate Maltby and McCarty.

Welcome DallasStars. Congrats to your team for taking out Anaheim and San Jose. I've always enjoyed the Wings-Stars rivarly, it was fun being in the same division. It was either us or the Stars who'd take home the division title, untill the League put us with Nashville, Columbus, Chicago, and St. Louis. For a number of years we've had Turco's number, but we'll see what happens in the playoffs. This is why they play....

Yea I was impressed with his interview. He seems like a down to earth and realistic guy, which is different from what I've read about him.

Get the brooms out for Game 4. I know the Stanley Cup is the goal, but we're one win away from making it to the Conference Finals for the 2nd year in a row. The last time we made it to the 3rd round of the playoffs atleast back to back years was 1995-1998.

I don't have a bad word to say about Shanny. He was the missing piece to our Championship puzzle and gave his all for the Wings. With all of our young talent, 2006-07 was the right time for him to go to a new team. What I miss most is the 30 year old Shanahan, and the team we had from 1996-2002, but time goes on.

Not to sound like a "homer" but anyone at this point who isn't picking the Wings to win the West, just flat out doesn't like us or is in denial. Things seem to be falling in place for us (Anaheim is gone, and SJ is two loses away from joining them) and so far we've stayed healthy. We're still only half way from the Finals, and anything can happen, but we seem to be getting better as the playoffs go on.

At the beginning of the playoffs I said Wings-Rangers. I'm sticking with those until one or both are eliminated.

Well the way things are going, we probably won't lose both Games 3 and 4, like last series. We're not dealing with Ellis here, we've cracked their goaltending. I won't be surprised if Forsberg is out the entire series, groin injuries can be trouble.

I wouldn't be surprised if Forsberg misses the entire series. We know those groin injuries take a while to heal (Osgood in 2005-06, Rafalski this year, and Hasek all the time). So far we're getting all the breaks when it comes to injuries, unlike last year.

I don't want to pick a team, but all I know is, I hate playing in Calgary. The Flames have great fans and they really pump up the team. I'm pulling for SJ in Game 7. With Sakic, Forsberg, and Foote, it could be fun playing the Avs. It'll be like old times.

It could be tough for Calgary to win in SJ, but we maybe the only top seed in the West to get past the first round.

Helm will sit when Malts comes back. I'm not a big Sammy fan, but he has size, and takes a lot of shots. Sammy will be in there.

Nothing against Hasek, I thought he was decent out there, but why would you even consider not stating Ozzie? It's Ozzie job to lose. If Ozzie struggles, go back to Hasek. It's good to have that option.

I know I'm kicking a team while they're down, but when you get outshot something like 95-35 in Game 5 and 6, you don't deserve to be in the playoffs. I don't care if Arnott was injuried, Nashville hung their goalie out to dry. I hate those teams that play rope a dope and try and ride their goalie. If a team is sucessful, other teams try it and it ruins the game, so to the Wings for sending them home. Ok I've had my say..... Anyway, I'm planning on going to a game in the 2nd round. $70 for the Upper Bowl, I think, is decent.
