I sent TSN two e-mails saying how disappointed I was they showed the Masters over the Wings game. The stupid thing was, the Golf Channel was showing the Masters as well. It made no sense to me that two different stations had to show the same sporting event, especially this time of year, and that it was ONLY the opening day of the Masters. If it was Sunday, I could maybe understand, but not Thursday. I told them to get their head out of their @ss

I'm starting to feel bad for all those people who shelled out money for Season Tickets this year, and the team starts out like this. Yea I agree, the offense and starting pitching is to good not to be contending for a playoff spot this year. This is a team that could rip off about 10 wins in a row once everyone gets going.

I didn't even bother watching the TSN or Sportsnet playoff analysis. They're so Canadian biast and anti-Red Wings it makes me :puke: I think those shows are a joke anyway, and it's a waste of tv time. Any knowledgable hockey fan can make picks as good as their's. It's all speculation and guesses anyway. I think the Wings are getting enough negative press and are being overlooked enough to make them mad, and have more insentive to win the Cup. And we all know what happened in 2001-02.... See this is why I love being a Detroit fan. If one team stinks, just pay attention to one of the other ones. The Tigers are coming to Toronto in a couple weeks. I was thinking of going, but not anymore. Unless the Tigers pull off an 8 game winning streak or something. If the Tigers continue to suck, all the more reason to follow the Wings and Pistons in the playoffs. Edit: I can just ship easy, but atleast it's to another Detroit team and sport. It's not like I jump over to the Indians, White Sox, Yankees, or something stupid like that.

Looking back on what Holland offered Fedorov in December 2002, it's probably better it wasn't signed. I think we would have been in a bit of salary cap trouble after the lockout with Fedorov on the books. Who else would we have had to buy out to get under the cap before the 2005-06 season?

We'll never bring Fedorov back. Besides we have a lot of up and coming young defenseman I'd rather see in Detroit over Fedorov, and I'm sure the organization feels the same way.

Well not to take anything away from Dats, but until last year, he didn't show up in the playoffs. I'm glad this year he's got no distractions when it comes to scoring, the monkey is off his back. He can start flying right away with not many worries. This year we'll need Dats and Z to score more points on the road. Despite what the media is saying about our team, Goaltening is average, we're to old, etc., I think the key to our playoffs is Datsyuk and Zetterberg performing on the road.

Call me crazy, but I think goaltending is the least of our worries. And we don't have a lot of worries this year.
