When Lidstrom, Rafalski, Chelios, and Kronwall come back, I hope Ericsson and Meech stay with the team.
-
I wouldn't mind seeing Howard and Ozzie split games from this point on, sorry Hasek .
-
I think Howard's ready for the NHL.
-
Despite all the injuries, I'm enjoying watching all our young players.

I had a conversation with a Leafs fan about #13 if Sundin was traded here. He said Sundin should get #13 since he's Sundin. Obviously I said, "no way, #13 is Datsyuk's, he's had it since 2001-02". The debate went back and forth a bit, but I finally convinced him Datsyuk would keep #13, and Sundin could take something else. Sundin's an easy going guy, I'm sure he wouldn't even think of taking #13 away from Dats anyway. Also, I don't think Maltby or Chelios should give up their number's either. That's pretty ignorant for someone to ask Datsyuk, Maltby, or Chelios for their numbers, especailly with all the successes the 3 of them have brought to the franchise.

I'd be interested in trading for Sundin and Gill.
-
Just as long as everyone is ready to go for the playoffs.
-
I don't have a problem with big goalie equipment, but I'd rather they shrink the equipment instead of making the nets bigger.
-
It's hard to believe we have a guy with the last name of Lemieux in our organization. What's next, Roy?
-
I got tickets for February 29th vs. SJ, the first home game after the deadline. I'm hoping Mac makes his return that night. We may see Sundin then too.
-
Right, Mac will be the 23rd guy on the 23 man roster.
-
I'm interested in Sundin, but I'm not interested in signing him past this season. We still have Zetterberg and Cleary to re-sign. Call me crazy, but I'm ok with Sundin being a rental for the playoffs.
-
Nah I don't need to see the stick salute after a game. It's a nice thing to do by the players, but after seeing it done in other cities, I never once thought the Wings should.
-
I agree, there's really no risk at all signing him. If he stinks, don't play him, plain and simple. Another team will sign him for the playoffs if we don't. You don't want DMac playing for Dallas or Anaheim.
-
I just want to say, "Ozzie, Ozzie, Ozzie". It's nice to see they boys break the streak with a convincing 4-0 win. I hope Lidstrom doesn't miss much time, he's the Energizer Bunny and is never injured.
-
The changes look good to me. You have to think the breaks will start going our way. I'm looking forward to watching the game on NBC tomorrow. I think we'll win 4-2.
-
I wasn't interested in Blake anyway, so it's fine with me. IF we add Sundin (Sundin will probably take Hudler/Filppula and a 1st rounder), I'm not interested in trading another young player and a pick for Blake.

Right. Also, the team as a whole hasn't been playing well. If we were outshooting teams 35-19, but losing 4-3, then yes, this is a goaltending problem, but that's not been happening. The last 5 games (I've seen 3 of them), we've been getting pushed around and are having problems getting to the front of the net, but Ozzie's been getting blamed. However, this is nothing new, we're Red Wings fans, and we blame the goaltending first. It goes back to the early 90's to Chelevdae, then Essena, Osgood, Vernon, Osgood again, Legace, CuJo, Hasek, and back again on Osgood. When we won our Stanley Cups, the team was playing outstanding hockey. If you look around the League, the teams that depend just on their Goaltening (Buffalo in the late 90's, Toronto 99-04, Flames in 04, Oilers in 06, etc), NEVER win a Championship. Roy and Brodeur are Champions because they had outstanding teams in front of them. When they lost, it was their team that wasn't playing well.
-
And Kronwall and Rafalski were out last night. Columbus was outshooting up 9-2 at one point last night. I wouldn't blame the loss on Osgood.
-
Right, we've been steamrolling up to this point. I'm sure they guy just got a little to comfortable. Call me crazy, but I'm a little happy we're going through this right now. It's 10 days before the deadline and we know what kind of players (size, strength) to get inorder to win the Stanley Cup. If we would have continued to roll, it could have been a repeat of 1995 and 1995-96.

2 reasons why Fedorov and McCarty will become Wings
Barrie replied to The Enforcer's topic in General
How much did they go down by? I already bought tickets for two regular season games already! I could have saved a bit if I waited? Ah man, haha, oh well, it's ok. -

Bringing back Fedorov and McCarty to sell playoff tickets is something the Leafs would do. I highly doubt Fedorov will be back, McCarty is a maybe. -
Also, when the shot came to the net, as mentioned in my above post, Homer picked up his right foot, and moved his left forward. That's why we have cameras above the net, for plays like this. I'm not one to blame refs for loses, but it's a goal! Oh well, it gives us more unfinished business for the playoffs.

Thanks Wings_Dynasty I watched the game tying goal a few times. Holmstrom played the shot to perfection. Watch when the puck gets to the net, Holmstrom picked up his right foot and moved his left, there's no chance he's in the crease. The goal should have counted, and if the ref wasn't sure he should have gone upstairs. I hope that crew get's in trouble by the league, but I'm not holding my breath.
