I would agree. I keep hearing about how great Crosby is and I see the stats, but I only watch the Red Wings, and Crosby doesn't do much against the Wings. I assumed it's because Zetterberg is always shutting him down. -
With Helm and Datsyuk out to start the season, the Cleary signing looks ok now. Cleary is probably the best guy to be a fill in and play 12 minutes. Edit: Just went over to the Helm collision discussion, I guess Cleary isn't skating, oh well.

I'm no way a Toronto supporter, but I live in the area, the Raptors do very well in Toronto, they're top 1/3 in the league in attendance. -

As Rick from Pawn Stars would say, the asking price is different then what it's actually worth. $750 Million is an insane amount for an NHL team, especially in a small market like Pittsburgh and a team that's almost gone bankrupt twice. -
Based on the money he's paying Cabrera and Verlander, Mr. I won't even notice.

I'll add to that, 60 miles north of the city is legal prostitution. You can bet, their #1 customers will be NHL players. I know players can get in trouble anywhere, but putting young rich professional athletes in Sin City is an insane idea!

I voted Nyquist, because he's the better overall player. But that's nothing against Tatar, Tatar bring his own skill and energy.

Not to argue your point, but most guys have to score 50 goals in Juniors to make the NHL. Lapointe did the same in the QMJ.

I didn't watch the entire video, but very cool moment with your Grandfather to put his collection and stories on film. Both my Grandfathers aren't with us anymore, but when they were here, I always enjoyed hearing them talk about their experiences in life.

I think you're correct on both. I remember Sandstrom-Yzerman-McCarty line in 1997, and Holmstrom-Yzerman-McCarty in 1998. I remember too in the 1998 Final, Scotty would load up the top line with Shanahan-Yzerman-Fedorov sometimes. But as already mentioned, Scotty would change the line combos every shift.

A $4.25 cap hit for a guy who plays 20 minutes a night is a good contract. Teams would be interested. -

Realistically he should only make a few hundred grand more then Tatar, just for inflation purposes, despite Tatar being the better player last year.
