Maltby never fights. He's pissed a lot of people over the years by starting stuff, and skating away.
-
He'll be back. It's the playoffs, it's what they play for.
-
I think they should retire the slogans. Soon they're going to run out of ideas.
-
Yup, trust me.

Just as long as we clinch 4th in the Conference atleast, and he's ok for the playoffs. We're doing fine with out him, so no need to rush a return.

Towels are 10 times better than those thunder sticks. The game I was at last year they handed them out to everyone. No one really used them. Bud Lynch had to encourage us to bang 'em together.

Hey not bad, back on page 4 I guessed the correct score.

Whatelse has Cleary done in his career? He was brilliant in November and December, but I don't think we can realistically expect him to keep up a 20+ goal pace. He's like a younger version of Maltby (10-15 goals).

It's funny how people look at things. I was just thinking that one of the reasons why Lang has picked it up is that he's had better linemates since the Calder trade. I didn't think Cleary and Williams were doing him justice.
-
I'm glad Cleary is off the 2nd line. Despite a nice season so far, he's not a 2nd line player.
-
I say 4-2 Wings.

I'm a Maltby fan too. He still bring a lot to the table. I think Filppula and Hudler will split time in the playoffs.

Since I don't see all the game, I have a simple question about Booter..... How's he been doing? Looking at his stats, he doesn't have to much ice time, but I haven't read anything negative about his play, so he must be holding his own. I found this about him on the Fox News Site. I think it was from last week, but still..... Coach Mike Babcock was impressed with the toughness that Bootland showed on Tuesday against Nashville. "He didn't disappear when the banging got going. He was involved in there, he went to the net, and he stayed there." I've been a big fan of his for a few years now. I know once Zetterberg, Cleary, and Bertuzzi are back, there realistically won't be room for him, but I'd like to see him suit up for the playoffs.

Does Tootoo have a reason for wearing a visor, other than just protection? Maltby had an eye injury, so that's why he wears one.
-
In all fairnes to Maltby, his career is winding down. Comparing the two over their career's, I'm sure Maltby would have been a more overall effective player. Tootoo really can only be annoying and get under opponents skin. Maltby did that, and he was able kill penalties and had enough offenisve skiil to chip in with a goal here and there.

Atleast they did talk about all 3 cups, so the pic did fit.
-
Yeah he could be one of "The Black Aces" as they are called. Maybe get in a game or two each round.
-
After years of being the favorite, maybe not as much expectation this time around from the media is good.

No thanks to the Eastern Conference, I like the West better. Plus as mentioned before, we're the top team in the West revenue wise and it wouldn't be healthy for the League to move us East. Seriously, other than the core team's fans, who's going to pay any attention to the Western Conference if the Wings move East? All the best markets will be in one Conference (Detroit, Toronto, Montreal, Philly, NYR, Boston,). I really hope the media will stop writting/talking about this. The League itself has said the Wings are to important to the West, Develano has agreed to it as well. Columbus would be the team to move. What the League needs to do is go back to the pre-lockout schedule. The city of Pittsburgh would be a bunch of idiots if they let Crosby and Malkin go. They'll get something done. Edit: The Pens are guaranteed to win a couple Championships in the near future.

Kick Simon out of the League. If he wants to two hand something like that, he should be playing Baseball and take it out on a fastball. There's no excuse for doing that. I think this is worse than McSorley. I don't condone the hit on Brashier, but he did rub the entire Bruins team the wrong way all game (Taking out the goalie, trying it again on the back up, then flexing his arm while skating by the Bruins bench), and when he was confronted man to man, face to face, he skated away. Edit: Simon was just hit into the boards, then snapped.

Yeah those lines are brutal. That's what happens when the top and bottom levels share the same concorse. Still though, look at all the great seasons you were able to see, 1992-93 to 2003-04. Despite the building and the lines, the memories you have are priceless.

I'm just curious, who here is lucky enough to have Wings Season tickets? Also, how long have you had them? It must be sweet to have 41 games every year to go to. The most I've gone to in a season is two . It's a dream of mine for atleast one year of my life to have Red Wings Season tickets.
