I'm on the Elite Prospects page, checking out potential draft picks. Sure I'd like Alexis Lafreniere, but Quinton Byfield at 6'4 215, looks like a good consolation prize. Marco Rossi, Jamie Drysdale, and Cole Perfetti would work for me too. Whatever position we get, we'll get a great player.

Great trade! AA was the odd man out with the amount of RFA's we need to sign this off season. We had to get rid of someone, and Stevie got two 2nd round picks for him! Gagner is a UFA, so he was just a throw in, neither Edmonton or Detroit will give him a contract.

When I heard Green was going to be traded, I thought, "What can we get for him, a 5th round pick?", so this is a better than I was expecting. I've never been a fan of AA, even during his 30 goal season. Because of the cap, I didn't think be would be on the team past his current contract. Mantha and Bertuzzi are RFA's, we need cap room to re-sign them. I'm not expecting much for AA. Maybe a 2nd or 3rd round pick and a 23 year old player for GR. Trading AA means more $ to sign Mantha and Bertuzzi.

I got sucked in to these early rookie tournament and preseason wins, and got NHL.TV for the season. A first time for me! I'm not expecting the playoffs, but it could be a fun year with all these young guys. I may regret my purchase after a couple weeks into the season, when the games are for real, but we'll see No TV for tonight against the Islanders though, darn! I may have to check out Bruins-Flyers

As mentioned, I live in the Toronto market, I'm not a fan of the blackout games against the Leafs. I use Reddit when we play the Leafs, so I can hear Mickey and Ken. You'd think with the number of people getting rid of cable, NHL would do away with the blackouts, to take advantage of those without cable. Anyway, 5 games into the season, I've seen every game, and not disappointed with my purchase. This week with the west games, I'll have to watch the games the next day, since I'm a dork, and go to bed by 10pm

I won't have to worry about blackouts, I live in the Toronto area. The less Leaf games, the better! I guess that's why nhl live keeps asking me for my location, so they can blackout games.

Yeah the NHL app. A goal horn goes off when we score. It's funny when you're out in public and it goes off. I'm self employed, I've been in a middle of a quote and the horn goes off. The potential client looks at me, and I say, "Oh, the Red Wings just scored"
