Not to sound like a homer, but I think the Wings are more popular than the Canadiens and Leafs. I would think the Wings are the most popular team in America, just look at how they draw on the road (as Konnan said), plus there's a lot of Wings fans in Southern Ontario (the most populated area of Canada by a wide margin). Seriously outside Canada, who's a Canadiens or Leafs fan? I think the Wings take it, and by a decent lead too.

That's one guy I don't want to know any details about his life off the stage.

I've been listening to a lot of Scott Weiland lately. The dude is underrated as a lead singer. I'd like to see STP live in concert sometime, I almost got tickets in the summer, but I don't want to see Scott dance around with no shirt on and hip huggers for 3 hours. I'll just continue to listen to STP and Velvet Revolver on my ipod.

Yesterday the NY Post ran a story saying Jeter gives his one night stands autograph Baseball's. http://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/derek-jeter-gives-his-one-night-stands-autographed-baseballs-20111312 Edit: Here's the NY Post link http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/manhattan/jeter_booty_hauls_smU8lFebpsBGJXpyHoMKSN

If you're on twitter, you should add Commodore, he's entertaining!
-
I think he's done.

The Wings-Rangers haven't played a memorable hockey game against each other since the 1950 final! Personally I think the love affair with the "Original 6" is overrated. Detroit, Toronto, and Montreal dominated Boston, NY, and Chicago. The best thing that ever happened in the history of the NHL was in 1967-68 when they finally expanded the league. It should have happened 15-20 years earlier, but the corrupt owners liked their 6 team monopoly.
-
Yea I'm not a Bettman fan, but he actually created new rivalries, leaving the old ones intact, when he broke the league up into 6 divisions.
-
I still think the easiest thing was to move Nashville to the South West, then move Dallas to the Central, Colorado to the Pacific, and Winnipeg to the North West. I don't know if I'm for or against these new Conferences. I do think the NHL wussed out. Instead of telling the Wings they're better in the West, they did a big change not to make them mad.

http://www.nhl.com/ice/page.htm?id=75862 Interesting, instead of moving just one team East and offending another, they changed the entire thing around. I don't really know if I'm strongly for or against the changes.

That last replay is great, Miller starts punching Tootoo before they hit the ice!
-
Hey Miller, hit Tootoo once for me!

We've won the Western Conference 6 times since 1995, and 4 cups since 1997, I fear nobody in the playoffs! We can beat the Sharks. The last two years we were worn out from 3 straight long playoff runs. We'll be more rested in this year's playoffs. Jimmy's been one of the best goalies in the League so far, and the majority of the current roster has already won the Cup before and made it to the final again the next year. They can do it again.

You should contact the team and ask them, they'd have that information. Everyone who gets a ticket, other than the ones who walk up and pay cash, give out their address when they buy tickets.

Good stuff. I saw lots of Datsyuk's last night. I always enjoying seeing who people get on the back of their Wings jersey, or which one they wore that night (I have 4, Yzerman, Shanahan, and McCarty along with Holmstrom). I saw only one other Holmstrom, some girl two rows behind the Wings bench. As expected there was a lot of Yzerman and Lidstrom, a good amount of Datsyuk and Zetterberg. I saw Franzen, Kronwall, Fedorov, Konstantinov, Howard, Draper, McCarty, Howe, Lindsay, and Filppula too. A good mix of choices.

I saw the highlights from last night. Crosby got an elbow under the chin in a scrum at the side of the net. Right away he looked at the ref wanting a penalty. Wuss! Howe would just hit the guy back later in the game.

Wings to host NHL Winter Classic within next 2 years
Barrie replied to Hockey13Playa's topic in General
As great a stadium Comerica is, and also Ford Field, I think it has to be in Ann Arbor. Only Hockeytown could have 100,000+ fans at an outdoor game. It'll put to rest Pittsburgh and Chicago falsely claiming they're a better hockey city than Detroit. -
I'll be there rockin' the Holmstrom jersey! 4-2 Wings!
-
Right, thanks. I don't think the Wings low balled him, they just knew what he was worth.
-
Yea. Also didn't Wiz say something anti Red Wings before he signed with Columbus?
-
Just had to do this.... 3 points last night for White!
-
Agree, that was a rough game for someone who was out 11 months with a concussion.
-
I think I'd rather be the son of God. Anyway, full marks for Crosby in his second game back. I saw highlights against St. Louis, he played a physical game, and took and gave some hits. I didn't want to see Cindy get a free ride. If he can't handle the rough stuff, then he shouldn't be playing. If he can handle it, then more power to him.
-
Also a second time, and almost a 3rd.

It's on TV in Canada on TSN. I'll have to sit though those "homer" Canadian announcers. Anyway, 4-1 Wings. Thanks for the link, I'll be sure to use it! I wonder how long until the US Government shuts it down?
