I'm looking forward to having Fister a full season. We could win 98-99 games next year! Clearly we're the favorites to win the Central again. I know what you mean about the 2011 team. They didn't make it as far as 2006, but the season Verlander and Cabrera had, along with VMart, Peralta, Avila, Valverde, etc. It was a fun team to watch.

Verlander's interview on DP today, JV was asked if he would have voted for himself for MVP and he said "Yes" . JV was also asked who he would have voted for if he couldn't vote for himself, he said Cabrera, again . I like JV being voted as MVP, but I do think Cabrera is being over looked for the season that he had. No one seems to mention that he won the batting title.

Leafs fans wouldn't understand, they haven't been in the playoffs in 7 years. The player they hate is Roenick, and he's long retired.

FYI, JV is going to be on the Dan Patrick Show tomorrow (Tuesday) morning 9:35.

I'd be interested to know what the TV ratings will be for this game outside Pittsburgh. As mentioned, after Crosby's second point I had enough and turned the channel, and am not interested in turning back. I would think the 1st period the ratings would be very strong, but as the game goes on, ratings are dropping. lol, I turned to CNN HLN and watched the Kutcher and Moore divorce info instead of the love fest for Cindy. Now the Simpsons are on Comedy Network

CBC was showing some Crosby replays. Along with his first goal, they showed him taking his first dive.

Congrats to JV for being named MVP! I'm proud of the guy! He's only 28 and he's already won the Rookie of the Year, CY Young, and MVP! You should hear all the people in the Toronto area who think Bautista should have won the MVP. Dude was only 11th in RBI's and 6th in runs scored. I'm actually surprised he's as high as 3rd in the voting. Granderson and Cabrera had better seasons than he did! lol at the person who voted Micheal Young for MVP. Let me guess, that writer was from Dallas?

Agree. There's no blind hatred, and it's not just limited to Detroit. Cindy hears it from the fans in most, if not all arenas outside Pittsburgh. Crosby's one of those athletes who's had everything handed to him in life. When he doesn't get his way, he doesn't know how to handle his emotions. He's probably whined his way through life. Even with all his talent, it's tough to respect a guy like that.

It'll be interesting to see if Cindy will be the same player again. Dan Patrick on his radio show is saying doctors think he'll only be a 15 minute a night player if he's able to make a comeback. Crosby still sucks, but I wish him all the best in his return.

I'd agree with Bertuzzi, but not Holmstrom. Holmstrom deserves to retire a Red Wing and go out on his own terms. As people already mentioned, he only plays 13 minutes a night, and is playing well. 7 points in 16 games is Homer type production. Average that out to 70 games, that's 31 points. Decent for a guy who's 38, and the Wings had that losing streak, so everyone's numbers are a little down. I've never been a big fan of Bertuzzi, I think he takes to many dumb penalties. A younger guy could have his ice time.

The Leafs were down 2-0 going into the 3rd, and they tied it up. If that isn't exciting enough for Leaf fans, to complete the comeback in the SO, to stand up and cheer your team on, I don't know what is?

I watched the end of the Coyotes-Leafs game, which went to a shootout. As the Topic Title says, I'm not a fan of the shootout, but when the shootout starts, and while it's going on, fans, stand up! Seriously, Leaf fans were sitting down! Get into the game, your team is going after another point! Sad, just sad. :nonono: Edit: By the way, the Coyotes won.

Congrats to JV for winning the AL Cy Young award. No surprise there. They could have just skipped that, and gone on to the next award. We'll see now if he wins AL MVP So today, completely out of no where, I had Chuck Knoblauch follow me on Twitter. My question is why?
