Worst Enforcing Team, but most Stanley Cups.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gPZare9vpI&feature=player_embedded Gotta love this hit by Thomas. Can't watch it enough Edit: With a loose puck that was risky!

Good move by the NHL on the suspension. Also I still can't believe there's people who say, "_____ didn't have their head up". Watch the replay, Horton was watching his winger, trying to stay onside, and preparing his next move to try and score a goal, he was playing the game. Hitting people when they are in a vulnerable position is not. I heard something interesting today that the people who say, "players should keep their heads ups" are the ones who are making these life altering hits.

Right, the Ilitch family has more money than the city of Detroit.

I heard one of Boston's strategies going into the series is to slowly wear down the Canucks with their size. The more games in this series, the better it maybe for the Bruins. Vancouver may have to win this early. I would think whoever wins Game 4 may win the series, Boston played two decent road games.
-
Same, going into it I was good either way, but Let's go Bruins!
-
Nice going Boston! Keep the momentum going in Game 4.
-
I don't mind the Joe being around for a few more years, I'm not ready to say goodbye.
-
Loved Lucic giving Burrows the finger! Loved the Thomas hit and save on Sedin. We got a series! Great bounce back game by the Bruins.

Since we're talking about Canucks fans, I remember in 2002 when Bertuzzi hit Chelios from behind, I think it was Game 3, with a hit that could have broken Cheli's neck, and 'nucks fans went crazy. Edit: Morons!

That's what's wrong with it, it's something kids do, animals, women who need to defend themselves, and Mike Tyson. As mentioned, the last time I bit someone I was 4. It's something our mother's tell us not to do when we're growing up. We're talking about grown men here, it's embarrassing.
-
I'm a little surprised Vancouver fans think Burrows biting is a big joke. I wonder how I'd feel if it was one of our Red Wings players were biting people? I think I'd be embarrassed.
-
You sound like Penguins fans after they won in 2009. Plus Vancouver hasn't won anything yet, it isn't a series until the Home team loses a game. Yea what's the deal?
-
Oh ok, highest rated Game 1, that makes sense.
-
2008 we had an easy road to the Cup. My source if from the radio as well. Although I find it hard to believe Game 1 of 2011 was more watched than the Wings-Pens and Flyers-B.Hawks finals!
-
I heard in Boston for Game 1 they got higher ratings than the Celtics-Lakers. Also I heard Game 1 was the highest rated nhl game in the US since 1999.

Reminds me of 2009 when Malkin should have been suspended for Game 3. Gonna be interesting sports talk radio on Monday.
-
Keep him, he's in a contract year, lets take advantage of it!

After looking at the bite for the first time, there was no face wash by Bergeron, all Bergeron in my opinion was doing was pushing Burrows away. Burrows clearly bit Bergeron, and there was no reason to. Burrows should be suspended no question if you ask me.
-
Both Canadian stations, nuff said. There's no reason or excuse to bite anyone unless you're a woman trying to defend yourself, a kid because you don't know any better, or Mike Tyson.
-
Yea, it's not worth it. Unless we get in the bidding just to up his value so another team overpays.
-
My response to Burrows biting... The last time I bit someone, my Mom likes to tell this story, I was 4 at the time, and I bit my sister who was 2, and I made her cry. For a punishment, my Mom bit me, I've never bit anyone since.

No doubt it'll be interesting to see what happens. I don't get the travel argument, these guys get first class treatment where ever they go.
-
I'll wait and see before I say if I like Shanny taking over or not. I'm not a fan of tough guys handing out suspensions. I think they should have rules in place before instead of all this grey area. Here's hoping Shanny makes some positives changes. A step in the right direction

Yea I think this from the link I provided says it all: But if the Wings do get to go, this is how Stubits sees it shaking out: You likely aren't going to send (the Wings) to the Southeast, so some shuffling will be needed. Most likely scenario would be putting the Wings in the Northeast with Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa and Buffalo, dropping Boston into the Atlantic and moving either Pittsburgh or Philadelphia to the Southeast. Surely you see the downsides in that. Bruins-Habs in separate divisions? Breaking up the Keystone State rivals? Really, there's no way that makes much sense to put the Wings in the East while keeping important battles going without just dropping them in the Southeast -- which, again, makes little sense. So it might still happen, but I'm thinking sorry Detroit, you're stuck where you are. Edit: Moving the Wings East means way to much change in the Divisions, and makes one conference rich, the other one poor. However, I won't try and stop anyone trying to voice their opinion to Bettman.
