I agree. I was thinking today, how often do us Baseball fans hear from Bud Selig? Maybe a couple times a year. Bettman seems to be in the media all the time, which makes us non Bettman supports despise him even more! We hockey fans know the issues and have ideas to make the game better and even more profitable. However, Bettman continues to show his face, lie to the media, and try's to make the fans sound like they are complete morons! I was thinking today too, it's to bad that jobs like a Commissioner doesn't have the same rules as President of the USA, after 8 years you're out the door. It's time for new blood with some fresh ideas in the commissioner's office.

Yea the Devils aren't going anywhere either. They build that new arena, and with the Nets moving to Brooklyn in the next couple years, the new arena will be empty.

Yea I don't see the Wings ever moving East, we make to much money for the West. I actually like the Western Conference better though.

There's no reason to move the Sabres. Despite a bad economy and declining population, it's in a great spot right across the river from hockey crazed Ontario, and only an hour from the horribly run Maple Leafs.

Anyone seen the price of Sabres tickets for when the Wings are there Feb 26th? I'm only about 40 minutes from Buffalo so was thinking of going to see the game. Tickets START at $60! Screw that! Oh, speaking of relocation, I'm hearing rumors people think the Thrashers are going to be in Winnipeg next year.

I enjoyed Mike joining Ken and Mickey in the booth. I wouldn't be surprised if he's on TV when he retires.

I agree keep the Canadian teams out of it. The Outdoor Game is for NBC, and like you said, Canada, and CBC I'll add, has the Heritage Classic. I'm ok each year having one outside game in America, and another one in Canada. Edit: Besides, America has the better venues for it, Canada doesn't. Half of the fun of the Outdoor Game is where they are played.

As much as I like the 1997 team, they really only got hot at the right time, steamrolling through the playoffs despite a good, but not great, regular season. 2002 dominated from beginning to end. However, I think 2008 can take the 1997, 1998, and 2002 teams.

One of my cousins is a Canucks fan. Messier's 3 years in Vancouver, according to my cousin, was a complete joke. They hate him out there. egroen mentioned Messier's ice time at the end of his career. I've heard he hurt the development of some of the Rangers young players because he wanted first line minutes.

Call me crazy, but I think all this Messier talk as being such a great leader is a little overrated. I don't think he'd be in the conversation if the 1994 Rangers didn't win. There's to much attention on one year. Just my opinion.
