So word on the street is Burke is going to trade the draft picks from the Versteeg deal. Wow! If Burke trades another 1st round pick, I think Leafs fans should run him out of town!

Yea but if the Leafs like it or not, they have to start from scratch. This rebuilding on the fly is setting them back even more years from contending. lol, just the Leafs luck eh? Edit: I guess that explains why teams are trading 1st round picks.

I'll say one more Cup, and this year, so a "Yes" to #2. After Lidstrom retires it'll set us back a bit. A "No" to Kronwall being on the roster, and "Yes" to Cheli being in the organization somehow. Also in the next 10 years we'll see numbers 5, 13, and 40 in the rafters, and maybe even 30.

I don't feel to strongly either way, I think Draper has earned the right to go out on his own terms. I do think, the way he's playing, it's probably the best time for him to retire after this year, and go out with a bang, but by no means will be disappointed if he comes back for another year.

Geeze, Pierre and his wisdom saying Babs should be impressed with how the Wings played after going down 1-0. What are ya, new? The Wings have been the best team in the NHL for the last 20 years! A 1-0 deficit isn't going to keep them down!

I agree, not only is he scoring some goals, but he is flyin' out there! A few times this year I thought he was Helm seeing only the last 3 on the jersey, only to see the first 3 on the jersey show up.

Agree. The League missed the ball big time when they put in the instigator rule. Since players can't police themselves anymore, the League didn't realize they had to get tougher with suspensions and policing the game from downtown New York. Anyway, 2nd period has started, Let's Go Red Wings!
