Watch Burke claim him! He's been quoted that he's going to try and make a run at the playoffs this year.
-
Yea but this is Detroit not SJ.
-
With Osgood injured I like this move if it happens! Well done Kenny, well done.

Those guy have to grow up fast though when they get into the NHL. It's like when you're in school, your last years in elementary/Jr. High/Sr. High you're the king, but get a huge reality check when you move on to the next level.

I don't follow the League, but I consider myself a Spitfires fan. Yea, sucks, it's worth nothing now!

I have a customer who knew Probert, is a friend of Paul Coffey too, he said the same thing about Bob, quiet, humble, and polite. Edit: My customer said one year he drove Coffey to Detroit to negotiate his contract with Wings management. I think it was before the 1993-94 season.

I met Gordie Howe at a "Wine and Dine with #9" outside Windsor Ontario at a Winery. Very cool experience! There was about 20 of us. We got to eat Gordie's favorite meal, got to ask him a few questions, listened to him talk, got a few pictures taken with him, and he signed his "9" book. I can't think of any others... I got Roenick's autograph one time. Also at OHL games the players like to hang around in the concession area after and give autographs. A few times I've been to games I've walked by some and said a few words, but have no idea who I talked too. It could have been a star for all I know! Actually I was at a game in Brampton where Ryan Oulahen got injured, high-lowed. He was captain of the Battalion at the time. After the game I asked one of his teammates hanging around signing autographs how Ryan was doing, just because how hard he got hit, I was concerned. Also funny thing, I was wearing a Red Wings jersey and had no idea he had been drafted by the Wings. I probably looked smart asking how he was doing in a Wings jersey eh? Edit: Oh yea just remembered... I was flying home from my cousin's wedding, Vancouver to Calgary to Hamilton. Ray Emery was on my flight, from Calgary to Hamilton, it was just before the the 2007-08 season, a week before training camp. I talked to him at baggage claim, asked him when training camp started, he said, "in a week". I congratulated him on making the finals the previous year with Ottawa, and wished him the best of luck for 2007-08. I didn't ask for an autograph, I didn't really want one, haha.

Gotta love kicking the Leafs when they're down.
-
Why even play Orr when you're losing 7-0? Morons like him only make the embarrassment even worse with a 5 minute major.
-
Agree, we talk about it, because it's making the news! I'd rather not hear about Crosby, but everything he does is front page news, so I'll react!

As I posted in the comment section under the name Tiki... All-Star Games are a thing of the past, they serve no purpose in today's world of cable tv, internet, and NHL Center Ice. All-Star games were a way for people of the past generations to see the stars of the game they were only able to read about. Any night, our generation has the opportunity to watch whatever game we want, the All-Star game serves no purpose anymore, it's time to get rid of all of them.

Good point!

Crosby's mad? Really? I'm the first person to cry for a suspension and get thugs out of hockey, but I've seen both hits on Crosby, and neither player I feel should be suspended. The one in the Outdoor game was, no question, an accident, and the one against Tampa looked harmless, just made worse since Cindy already has the concussion. Edit: Just when I was feeling a little sorry for that snot nosed little punk too!

I'm wondering if the day before motorcitysportsgallery says, "April Fools!"
-
2010 huh? Absolutely speechless this is going to happen, it was only 15 years ago we all wanted Lemieux in a body bag. I'd bet 90% of Red Wings fans still hate Lemieux's guts! The 10% are probably to young to remember. I'll be watching the news on April 2nd to see if there was an incident involving Lemieux and some Red Wings fans at Mt. Clemens Gibraltar Trade Center. Have extra security on hand.

Right, or gets his hand cut by a skate, blindsided by an elbow, or a bruised knee.

Drama queen! Well I'm glad my next trip to The Joe isn't until March 21st. I won't be paying $60 to see Grand Rapids, everyone should be back by then.
-
Good thing we have a big lead in the division. Just play .500 until everyone gets back and we're good.

The "Gentle Giant" as my cousin, a Canucks fan, calls him.

I'm not surprised the Sharks are having a bad season. You would think after all those playoff disappointments, it would finally get to them physically and mentally. Serves them right after all that diving they did last year against us. I was completely disgusted with their play, and have no sympathy for what their going through right now.

Another reason why I change the channel at the intermissions of CBC, TSN, and NBC Hockey broadcasts. I don't have time for this kind of analysis.
-
In the dressing room, ok, in the hallway for tv cameras to see, no. I agree with whatever discipline the NHL gives to the Leafs.
-
and acts like a dick!
-
Whatever gets him off TV. Right. I think he's better suited to do color for the WWE the way he yells and picks favorites.

Offensive numbers having an effect on who wins Defensive awards is nothing new. Remember when Draper won the Selke Trophy in 2003-04? He scored 24 goals, and was on pace for 30 if he didn't get injured. It happens in MLB too with their Gold Gloves.
